More than a game

Chapter 12: SPLASH

I woke up due to the sun blazing through my mint green curtains and hitting my face, today was Nina's stupid pool party and to be honest I was scared and happy at the same time. I reached out to grab my phone to check if I have any messages and I received one from my mum. 'Hi just checking if you okay? We might come back tonight or tomorrow night as it will depend on our schedules but im sure we will be home tomorrow. Love you sweetie'. So I simply replied with a heart emoji and an 'I love you', I checked the time and it was 9:26 and the party starts at 5:00 so I stayed in bed recaping everything thats been going on in my life.

**Flashback**
"Mummy look I'm going to jump in the pool" said the recognizable little six year old girl in floats.
"Yes baby, I'm looking." She had the brightest smile in the world and it was beautiful. I jumped in the pool and whipped my eyes to see clearly and there I saw my mum clapping her hands for me.
"Well done baby" I carried on swimming...well floating, it was one rare occasion in London where is was really warm so my mum invited my cousin over to come and swim with us in our back yard.
"Cassie!" I heard a voice while I was under the water so I plopped my head out and looked around and saw my cousin Sally standing by the back door.
"Sally!" I jumped out and ran to her, Sally and I are like best friends but she's my cousin. Sally is two years older than me but we get along quite nicely, she has natural bleach blonde hair and sky blue eyes and because of that she gets the boys at school but she says she doesn't like them because they pick their nose and have boy cooties.
"I've missed you so much" she hugged me and we sat on the grass.
"I've missed you too Sally but now is not the time to sit it's time so swim come on" she took off the top and shorts and took her pigtails off and jumped in without floats.
"Come on Cassie, you a big girl now, you can't still be in floats. You don't want all the boys to laugh at you" I felt a bit sad that I can't swim properly but I was always a sucker for peer pressure and a sucker for a good challenge so I did what I thought of doing... I took off my floats. Sally held on my waist and let me get a head start at the shallow end, she let me go and started drowning then I tried kicking my feet and flapping my arms but she pulled me back up. After 6 tries I was about to give up but something in my told me not to so this time I tried again and I flapped my arms and kicked my legs and soon Sally let go of me an I started swimming. I didn't notice I was in middle of the deep side of the pool where I couldn't stand by and I lifted my head to celebrate me on my bravery but my leg got stuck on the pool sucker and it was dragging me down with it. "Sally!"  I see a small blob of Sally panicking and swatting the water and getting out of the pool calling for help, at one point she told me she couldn't go to the deep side.
"Sall-" water started chocking me.
"Sa-"  now I'm losing air.
"S-" I'm down. Out of no where I felt hands on me and there to rescue me was my-

*ring* ring*ring*
Dammit my phone is ringing! Private number? Who can this be?
"Hello?"
No answer
"Umm hello?"
Nothing again
"Hello?" as I was about to end the call I hear something.
"I found you." then the phone call ended.
At this moment it feels like air has been knocked out of lungs and I'm struggling to breathe. It's back. It found me. It followed me here. It knows what happened that's day. I thought I ran away from it.
All those statement are flying through my head, I need to calm down, what if it's just a prank. Yes a Prank, Americans are famous for their pranks and stunts right?
Let me just calm down and take a shower and get ready, I checked the time and it's 11:45 and I still need to go shopping with Hannah at 1:00.

After some time I finished showering washing away all the stress and I got dressed in shorts and a tank top and went down stairs to make myself some pancakes and watch Tv, I heard and hoot outside and took my hand bag and walked out to see a red Mini Cooper parked by my street. I locked my house and got in the car.
"Hey, you ready to shop till you drop?" Said a bubbly Hannah.
"Yes I prepared myself by walking to the fridge and back everyday" I said with enthusiasm.
We burst out laughing and talked about our selfs and talking about drama and gossip. We got to the mall and shopped around for hours and let me tell you this, she wasn't lying when she said shop till you drop.

I got home at 4:15 and Hannah said she would pick me up later so I started getting ready for Nina's party and thanks to Hannah I got a new swimsuit that I will be wearing , Its a black full costume but it has lacing all around and I paired it up with shorts over the swim wear and a cute top with my sun glasses. I heard a car hooting so I took an apple and walked out, we drove to Nina's house and there were cars parked on the street and on people's front yards. I thought Nina said this would be a small pool party not the whole fricken content!
"Holy Kylie Lip Kit! That's a lot of people, I'm so glad we went shopping because I'm liking the new costume I got." Said Hannah.
"Yeah... Umm the girls said we have to meet in Nina's room so let's get inside" I'm extremely nervous and excited at the same time, I feel like I'm going to vomit butterflies and moths. We got out of the car and walked inside the familiar house, it was packed with people in swimsuits and music blaring out the speakers. We walked up the stairs and went done the hallway 4 bedrooms away and reached the white door with pictures and big bold letters that spelt Nina hung up, we both walked in and found Jade sitting on the floor, Chelsea sitting on the sky blue couch and Nina is changing into her costume. Nina's room is like a teenage girls dream room. All the four walls have different colors, she has purple, blue, pink and green. She has a juke box in the corner and a slush machine as well, her bathroom is connected to her walk in closet and she has huge windows that overlook the backyard.
Everyone got ready and we walked out of the room and to the back yard.

"If anyone breaks anything you going to get the exact same thing by tomorrow!" Shouted Nina over the music. She then cut the music and spoke over a microphone.
" if not I will snatch you by the balls and rip them right out and feed them to my neighbors dogs, same thing goes to the girls I'll fucking slice your asses and I know most of you do squats...well I guess your hard work hasn't paid off, is that clear!" If I wasn't her best friend I would have wet my pants but LUCKILY I am, all the people heads nodded up and down and some people looked a bit pale but neither less she put back the music and everything went back to the way it was. We the walked to the side of the pool to go sit on the pool chairs and took off our clothes and only left with our costumes so we could tan and talk.we all sat and crissed crossed our legs India style and started to talk.
"Nina I thought this was supposed to be a small party not a small percentage of the universe!" This time its me doing the shouting. Then her wicked grin came on like it was slapped on her skin.
"I don't know what you mean Cassandra, this is a small party." Sneaking little bastard,for me not to have a break down im going to change the subject.
"So Chelsea who was that guy you we're dancing with the other night?" She started blushing a bit so I knew she likes this mystery boy that looks very familiar.
"I..um...I...-" she cleared her throat
"I don't know what you talking about." Oh this is amusing. Insert evil smile one face in... Three, two, one, *ting*.
"Okay fine, fine I will tell you everything please just stop with the smile" I put my hands up in surrender and laughed.
"He is one of Bradley's friends, I think bestfriend, his name is Steven and we kind of hooking up at the moment ." We stared at her with wide eyes and opened mouths.
"I can't " said Nina.
"Believe you" said Hannah.
"Didn't tell" said Jade.
"Us" I said. We looked at each other and did a slight nod the stood up in front of Chels.
"It's slipped out of my mind?" It sounded like she's asking a question and lieing at the same time.

Nina and Jade went to Chelseas feet and gripped them while Hannah and I took her hands to complete our mission of throwing her in the pool.
"Please no! I won't keep another secret again I promise! Please don't throw me in I beg of you! I'll buy you guys lunch whenever you like for a week! I just did my hair and I straightened it and there's people loo-"
SPLASH
Mission accomplished!
Then out of no where she pulled Jade in.
SPLASH
Agent down everyone.
I jumped back when I saw Nina push Hannah in.
SPLASH
Two agents down.
Unfortunately for Nina Hannah dragged her down with her.
SPLASH
Three agents down.
I laughed so hard tears started coming out of my eyes.
"That was priceless and I didn't even get a drop on me." I laughed again but was then interrupted when I see a presences behind me so I turned around and came face to face with an evil smirked green eyed monster.
"I don't think so Clumsy... I see one right over here" then he pushed me but i tried hard to balance.
May day! May day! Code Red! Agent down! Abort mission!Abort mission!
