After the fight, I gave Cosmo the silent treatment. Well, he started it! But anyways, I guess Juno and I are officially "in like" or something like that because most of the time we would be nuzzling each other or holding paws or wagging our tails whenever we're near each other! Unfortunately, that would change very soon.

Juno and I were again talking and walking down the hall when Peck hopped up beside us.

"Guys! Come on! It's stage three!" Peck exclaimed. Juno and I glanced at one another then shrugged and ran after Peck. We were all out of breath when we finally reached where Mira and the rest of the group waited.

"Where were you-? Juno..." Mira sighed, noticing the Arctic Wolf.

"Yes?" Juno answered, ears perked.

"This isn't a mission for you..." Mira face palmed... er-wing palmed herself.

Juno looked hurt, "Why not? I'm an Alpha!"

Mira squawked and flew in front of Juno, "But you're not an Alpha in Jamaa! By all means, you haven't even come to Jamaa...!" Mira's eyes then narrowed. "Except for last time..." she said the word "last" like it was a disease. I could feel the tension rising in the room. I flattened my ears as Mira looked at me. "Amelia, get your fool boyfriend out of the room this instant!"

Juno raised a paw, "How did you know that...?"

Mira squawked again, "Now, Juno!"

I whimpered and escorted him out of the room. Juno sighed and plopped down on the floor. I kneeled down beside him and kissed him on the cheek.

"I'll see you later, okay...?" I said softly. Juno nodded and smiled weakly at me and I returned back to the room.

Mira explained everything about stage three, where we were going to go on a stage in front of EVERYBODY in Jamaa and say a speech about what makes us great or something. So when we finally got to Jamaa and hid behind the stage, I was a nervous wreck! What if the animals don't like me or something! I took a deep breath and waited. Mira nodded to us when she was about to start and she glided out like everything was happy and.... More happy! Cheesy, right? I perked my ears up and listened to Mira's introduction.

"Hello Jamaa!" she announced. Cheers and claps rang from the audience. "Today, our new Shamans will give a speech about how they will help and secure Jamaa to safety from the evil phantoms. We know not of any war but everybody will be updated. Now our first Shaman to give a speech is Liza, the Panda Shaman.

Liza burst onto the stage and yelled, "Hello, Jamaa...!" No cheers or claps. She cleared her throat, "Um, anyways, my name is Liza and I am your new panda alpha! I will protect all of you from the phantoms and make sure everybody has a smile. My fellow Alphas have elected me as the leader and-"

"Nobody elected you...!" Greely shouted out from backstage.

"Yeah...!" I added. Greely and I looked at each other and laughed a bit.

"Oh shut up!" Liza said, obviously embarrassed. "Sorry about that, Jamaa... anywho..."

While Liza was giving her lame speech, something bad was about to go down at the Alpha Headquarters...

Juno was in the training room, chewing a bone. He was waiting for something to come and it did.

"Where... are... they?" a voice whispered, harshly. Juno scrambled toward the creature and bowed.

"They are at the quote in quote Jamaa Township, my King, " the Arctic wolf stuttered. Then he looked up, "What are you gonna do?"

The creature seemed to smile, its teeth yellow and crooked. The other creatures behind it did what their leader did, so they smiled too. Then the creature glided forward and extended his tentacle, a sharp sword-like figure popping out of it. It stabbed the tip in Juno's front left paw. The Arctic wolf whimpered as the "sword" drew out of his skin, drawing blood. Then the creature started to draw a small picture on the wall. It drew the body, then the head, then the legs, then the tail, then the snout, then the ears... it was a fox.

Juno widened his eyes and froze, stiff. "No... No! I won't let you do it...!" He rushed over to block the doorway, arms and feet all spread out. The creature glanced at its minions then nodded.

"I guess you leave us no choice then..." it chuckled. The creature wiggled all its tentacles at Juno and blinked its one eye. It then flew toward Juno and stuck the "sword" into his stomach, electrocuting him at the same time. Juno screeched and fell to the ground. He coughed and hacked until blood spurted out of his mouth. The creatures stepped over Juno's body and left him there, drowning in his own blood. The phantoms were back...

By the time the phantoms left the headquarters, it was my turn. I took a deep breath and stepped out onto the stage. I cleared my throat and grabbed the microphone, "Um... hi. My name is Amelia and I am your first fox alpha. I know I don't look as strong as I am but... I will still protect you. Ever since Jamaa was cursed with those evil creatures, everything has gone wrong. But we haven't had a war in years... but nonetheless I am here to protect you from the creatures, known has the phantoms!" Cheers erupted from the crowd! I smiled and waved but as I raised my paw, the sky turned black. Purple mist ran into the air, intoxicating Jamaa. All the Alphas dashed out to see more clearly. Mira instantly knew what to do.

She flapped her wings and screamed, "Everybody...! To the headquarters!" The Alphas took control. They jumped off the stage and hurried to help desperate animals... So I did the same. I ushered a polar bear and and a deer toward the specific room when I heard a cry.

I called to Peck, "Take care of these animals for me! Get them to the room!" I rushed through the scared animals and saw Duke The Wolf, sprawled on the floor, his tail... gone. My hand immediately went to my mouth as he looked at me. His fur was a mess, one of his ears were chipped, and he had a bloody nose. I reached out for his paw.

"No...!" he cried. "It's a trap!" He was right. I screamed as a phantom flew out of the shadows and bit Duke on the neck. Blood pooled underneath the motionless corpse of my step-brother. I screamed and screamed and screamed and screamed. More phantoms appeared and grinned down at me. Chaos was everywhere! Animals were screeching, crying, and some may be dead! And I thought I was about to join the dead ones as a phantom electrocuted me... and I fell on the ground the same way Duke did.
