This is weird. This is just weird. This phantom, supposedly named Percy, wasn't attacking me at all! He seemed... nice...! He also had a huge green eye! Phantoms don't have colored eyes! Not blue, not green, just black.

"So then I joined their squad and-" Percy looked at me and rolled his eye. "Are you even listening to me!"

I snapped out of my daze and glanced at the phantom. "What? Um, no...?"

"Oh my Zios, I'll tell it again...!" Percy groaned. I giggled guiltily and decided to actually listen this time. Just to make him feel better. "As a phantom, I was created by Mira's tears, yes. But the tear that created me was a regular tear mixed with a black one. When I spawned, all the others immediately didn't like me. They wouldn't even talk to me! I knew that I was different. Heck, I was the only one in the castle that had a green eye! Every day, a group of phantoms teased me about being different. After a while, I grew used to it though. Soon, the Alphas attacked our base. Not the new Alphas but the last ones. I hated the last Alphas and the new ones will probably be just as horrible." I stiffened. Percy didn't know I was an Alpha... Maybe I should wait to tell him. He wouldn't care, right? "Anyways, so they attacked. They kicked us out of the castle and we all scrambled into the woods to wait for them to leave. But I was still IN the castle so I didn't know what was going on until that WOLF came into the room and saw me. Then he LAUGHED. Once all the other Alphas heard him laugh they came running. Then THEY laughed. And yeah, I was pretty embarrassed. So then they decided I didn't belong. The Alphas picked me up by a tentacle and carried me deep into the forest. Then, they just plopped me down on that grass and left! I was just sitting there till dusk! I started to hear some noises around me in the bushes and I realized I needed a disguise. Like you saw, I turned into a rock. I slept for what seemed like forever! But then my ol' friend Marty came along. He took me in and I got to meet the rest of the gang: Revelon and Genie! They call themselves the Warrior Squad. Kind of stupid... Anywho, now I'm one of them! Yup! Percy the Warrior Phantom Guy! Yup! Yup! Yup! That's basically my life story."

He seemed pretty proud of the last part so I clapped.

"You wanna meet my friends?" Percy smiled.

I shrugged, "Sure, why not?"

So Percy lead me deeper into the forest until we reached a part of Jamaa called Sarepia Forest. That was the longest walk I have ever... um, walked! Percy glanced around and told me to wait where I am. He crept into the clearing and called, "Marty!"

Marty was a Arctic wolf with light green fur and dark green spots. He had a sword strapped onto his back, and unusually, a mask was covering his eyes and the bridge of his nose. He smiled at me and slinked over.

"Who's this?" Marty asked, his teeth glinting in the light. I shuddered.
"This is-um... what is your name?" Percy questioned.

I looked at Marty and stepped forward. "My name is Amelia, The First Fox."

Percy widened his eyes. I knew he was angry without even looking at him.

Marty showed his teeth once more. "It is an honor to meet you. The name's Marty." I nodded. I have to admit, I kind of felt bad about not telling Percy. Oh, he'll get over it. The guy's a phantom! Suddenly, an eagle and a wolf came rushing out of a tent nearby. This must be their camp. The leopard was red and white with a red spike collar hanging from her neck and bow and arrows around her back, just like me. The wolf was tan and white and had a simple sword. She also wore a ragged-looking baseball hat.

"Hey!" the wolf smiled.

"Who are you?" the leopard sneered.

If this bird has the same personality as Liza, I swear I will literally slap myself.

"Amelia," I said simply.

"Oh my Zios!" the leopard cried. "I'm so sorry! It's a pleasure. My name's Revelon."

"You're the Fox Shaman?" the wolf squealed. "That's so cool! I'm Genie!"

I blushed, "Thanks. Percy's been telling me about you guys."

Marty laughed and began to circle me. I felt awkward. I shifted my weight and gulped. He literally sniffed me a million times while Percy, Revelon, and Genie watched. Marty sniffed my cheek then licked it. I tucked my tail in between my legs and shivered. This leopard is really making me cringe! Finally, he stopped.

"I think she really has potential to be in our squad. Whaddya think, girls?" Marty grinned. Revelon and Genie nodded their heads frantically. Marty then turned back to me and leaned in toward me until our noses were touching. I flattened my ears and looked into his masked face. "Welcome to the Squad, Amelia."

The Alphas were making a huge fuss at the Alpha headquarters. They had just gotten back from getting all the animals to their homes after the phantoms left.

"Where's Mira?"

"Where's Amelia?"

"Oh my Zios!"

"Their dead!"

"The phantoms took them!"

Greely groaned and got up. "Guys! We will find them! I don't know how, I don't know when, but right now, this is war! The phantoms most likely have taken Mira and Amelia hostage, so we will have to train! We will declare war tomorrow!" The Alphas looked stressed but they nodded and headed for the training room. Up at the front, Peck screeched. Greely shoved through and gasped. A trail of blood was leading to the dorm hall. The small purple bunny started to cry and leaned into Cosmo's arms while Greely and Gilbert ran ahead, following the tracks. When they finally reached their destination, Greely realized this was Amelia's room. He prayed that the fox wasn't lying on the floor dead and slowly opened the door.

Instead of Amelia, it was Juno. He was facing the ceiling, blood seeping out of a chest wound. Gilbert rushed forward and checked his pulse.

"He's still alive, but not for long," Gilbert reported. Greely nodded and grabbed some bandages from a cupboard in Amelia's kitchen. He took a long string of the stuff and spread it around Juno's pelt, the place where he got stabbed. Then they both heaved him up and placed him on the sofa. Could the phantoms have gotten into the headquarters? Will Juno die? Greely didn't know. But all he could think of was the upcoming war... and Amelia.
