Greely stared into space. It was the next day and Juno had finally woken up. Yes, Greely was kind of jealous of Juno but he tried not to let it show. The Arctic wolf sat on the the sofa, eating a sandwich Peck had made. He's already eaten eight of them and it seems like he'll never get full. Greely had refused to eat and continued to stare as Liza sat next to him. Greely knew she was there but he pretended to not.
"Um, Greely?" Liza asked nervously.
The wolf sighed, "What?"
"I'm sorry that we lost Amelia..." Liza whispered.
"Huh? What are you saying sorry to me for?" Greely said a little bit too loud. All the other Alphas looked our way.
"Sorry guys! We're just talking about how we lost is girlfri-!" Liza tried to explain but Greely clamped a paw over her mouth. She thankfully began to whisper again. "Can we be friends now?"
Greely raised an eyebrow but finally agreed. "Fine, but no more lying or trying to kiss me or being mean..."
"I said I was sorry!"
"Alright!" Greely exclaimed. Liza got up and kissed him on the cheek. "What did I say?"
"Sorry!" Then Liza went over to Peck to help her make even more sandwiches. Juno was scratching at his neck and looking over at Greely. Greely of course noticed. He basically noticed everything. Every five minutes, Juno would ask Greely, who was sitting right next to him, if Amelia was going to be okay. It was getting kind of annoying because he was wondering the same thing and he needed to think. Juno looked over at Greely and scratched his neck again.
"Now what!" Greely moaned, whipping his head around.
"Are you SURE Amelia is going to be okay?" Juno questioned once more. Greely's eye twitched and he flattened his ears. Then he reached over and slapped Juno once on each cheek.
Then he grabbed onto his shoulders, "Pull it together, man!"
Juno whimpered and scooched away from Greely. The wolf had space! Yes! But once he glanced over at the clock, his happiness faded.
"Guys! We gotta go!" he fretted. "We have to get to the stage!" Greely hurried out of Amelia's dorm with all the other Alphas following behind.

Greely held the microphone in his paw. "All animals of Jamaa, please listen carefully to our announcement." The animals looked at each other, confused. Greely gulped. They had no idea that death was about to enter very soon. War was coming. "Now we will have to make this quick. We are going to war with the phantoms." The crowd gasped and began to chat with one another. "I said listen carefully!" Greely snapped. He cleared his throat. "I know this is definitely a surprise for you. We have come upon this war because two very important people have been taken hostage."
"Who is it?" someone shouted from the crowd.
"We are not allowed to say any details about the rising but I can tell you... this is just the beginning."

"Welcome to the Warriors Squad, Amelia."
Marty smiled down at me then said, "But let's see if your WORTHY."
I sighed and nodded my head. Marty gestured to Percy, Revelon, Genie and I to follow him. The leopard lead us across another clearing and up a ladder until we reached a platform. Marty then lead us up a pair of stairs then ducked into a huge hut made for a monster! And I was right. Well... monsters. They were in cages! All of them! Growls erupted and howls too! How did these animals get these... THINGS here? Marty stopped.
"These here are the corrupted animals," he announced. I glanced over at Percy but once he saw me looking at him he made a face and turned away. I knew it was a bad idea to keep it from him so I pushed the thought to the back of my brain. "Have a look around," Marty grinned. I shrugged and went over to a cage in the back of the room. It was a wolf. I felt myself tense but I continued to stare. It seemed to be sleeping. The wolf had spikes along it's back and the tail looked like a dinosaurs. The paws were deformed and the wolf's forehead was filled with tiny needles. I reached out to touch it and right as I did the wolf sprang forward, knocking it's cage to the ground all the while knocking the lock straight off. I gasped as the wolf stepped onto the bare ground, feeling around. I backed up to the wall as it growled at me. Marty rushed over and tried to hold it back but it snapped at him sending him backing up just like me. The wolf continued to growl at me getting closer and closer until it's teeth chomped down onto my leg. I shrieked and kneeled down, my paw closing around my ankles, trying to block the blood. Marty jumped on top of the corrupted wolf and pinned it to the ground.
"Genie! Revelon! Percy!" the leopard cried. "Get Amelia out of here!" I howled as poison rushed into my body. The two animals and the phantom heaved me up and dashed out of the hut. Once we got back to the camp, Percy laid me down and checked my back, my ears, my face, my tail, my stomach, and my paws.
"What's wrong?" I breathed.
"He's just checking for any signs of corruption," Genie answered.
"WHAT!" I shouted, attempting to get up but Percy forced me down. He grabbed my leg and examined it. Revelon flew away for a minute and came back with a bandage roll. The eagle handed it to Percy who quickly wrapped it around my ankle.
"Shouldn't she be corrupted by now?" Revelon asked under her breath. But I heard her. We foxes have strong ears. That's when Marty came down.
Percy glided up to him and explained what happened. I caught some of the last part: "She seems to be immune."
"What? How is that possible?" Marty gasped.
"Well she should've corrupted!" Percy shrugged. Marty sighed and glanced up at the now darkening sky.
"Everybody into their huts. Amelia, you go with Genie and Revelon," Marty said, slipping his hand under the mask and rubbing his eyes. Why couldn't he just take off the mask? I blinked and began to follow Genie and Revelon. Once we entered the hut, the wolf and the eagle rapidly laid down and fell asleep just as their heads hit their pillows. I moaned softly and tried to sleep as well but I wasn't that used to sleeping on the ground. I tossed and turned for a long time trying to get comfortable but I just couldn't. So I decided to take a walk outside.
I did a few laps around the camp site until I heard voices... and surprisingly my name. I walked up to Marty and Percy's tent and listened intently.
"Marty, I know what Amelia is!"
"I know Percy, I've heard the story of the fox heartstone. All the Alphas and the phantoms know but they just don't have the heart to tell her. To tell her that her mom was raised by phantoms, to tell her that the phantoms have her heartstone, to tell her that she is a demi-phantom."
