Chapter Four

"What are you doing here?" Brad asked

"I just wanted to say hi" I said.

The little kids came over and hugged my legs.

"Hey guys" I said

"how did you get in? Ms. Baker is sleeping" Brad asked suspiciously, I sighed

"I came in through the roof" I said

"you don't fit through the roof" Brad said

"now I do" I said shrinking

"I've got to go anyway, see you later" I said jumping and grabbing the edge of the hole in the roof, I waved then left them to stare at the ceiling. A few minutes later I found everyone in the emergency room (the E.R.)

"there you are! What were you doing we've been waiting for ever!" Maple said as soon as I came close,

"sorry sorry I was out of control and I needed to calm myself down" I said

"is he in there?" I added pointing toward a door that was closed, Apple nodded, I heard a yelp and a gasp then silence. Instinct kicked in and I burst through the door. A man (that was obviously the doctor) was holding a knife to Birch's neck, I ran forward and kicked the guy in the butt literally I did, the man gasped and turned to me holding his knife up, I smiled and took a sword out of my bag, the man's smug expression turned to horror he backed up.

"can I have some back up?" I called

Maple and Nū' came in holding matching swords

"I also need police" I said

"on it" I heard Cherry say

"you ok Birch?" I asked he nodded a nurse came in

"what's going on here?" she asked

"the doctor was trying to kill me!" Birch said

"is this true?" the nurse asked

"I saw it with my own eyes" I said, me Maple and Nū' had put away our swords,

"It is true" Nū' said

"your majesty!" the nurse said curtsying

"I trust my friend Ann and declare this man guilty of attempted murder" Nū' said

just then the police showed up. I walked outside with Maple and Nū' behind me holding the doctor.

"This man was attempting to murder my friend Birch!" I said to the police man,

"do I recognize you?" The police man asked

"I don't think so?" I said unsure

"oh your the one on the criminal list!" the police man said "you must be talking about my father, The Black Night" I said casually

"your father is The Black Night? Do you have any relationships with him?" the police man asked

"I had a relationship with him" I said

"I'm sorry miss but we'll have to arrest you" the police man said

"arrest me! Under what charges?!" I cried

"one you are a relative of The Black Night, and two you have a relationship with him" the police man said.

"One his name is Ian, and two I said I had a relationship with him not I have a relationship with him. He changed...I hate him now!" I said 

"now this man was trying to kill my friend, so if anyone is going to jail it should be him!"

"It is true, he is guilty" Nū' said

"your Majesty!" the police man said bowing

"don't 'your Majesty' me! put that horrible man in jail!" she turned on her heel and left, sometimes I'm so glad my best friend is a Queen.

A couple of days later I was in Birch's hospital room, when suddenly he groaned and held his head.

"you ok?" I asked

"I have a headache that's all" he said, his voice was muffled by the blanket he was speaking into, I touched my forehead, my lips, and my heart with the tips of my fingers, then I held my hand up to the sky and I blew out. A warm wind blew around us, Birch was watching me the hole time

"feel better?" I asked, he nodded

"how'd you do that?" he asked

"it's a little trick my mom taught me, I can only do it when I need to though" I said. Suddenly I felt something sharp dig into my neck, I looked at Birch, my eyes wide, then I collapsed.
