"I am telling you Susan, Star Trek is way better than Star Wars. You can't compare the awesomeness." Allan said pushing his glasses back onto his face.

"No, Star Wars is way better. Your logic is flawed." Susan said stiffly as Josh had his face stuffed into another book.

"What about you Spencer, Star Wars or Star Trek?" Allan asked as he paid no attention to his lunch while Spencer was just snacking on his sandwich his mom packed him.

"I, uh, never watched Star Trek." he said quietly and you could practically hear a pin drop at our table, even Josh looked up from his book to stare at Spencer.

Josh leaned forward but tried not to look intimidating, "You never watched Star Trek." he asked wanting it clarified.

"Um, no." Spencer said squirming in his seat from all of us staring at him.

Allan looked to Susan alarmed, "This calls for Operation Spock. Have Agent Amanda set up Operation Spock." Allan said in a very serious-nonAllan tone.

Susan just nodded also very serious and dramatically pulled her phone out and called a number. When it seemed like it connected she very serious said, "Operation Spock is a-go for the newbie." and then hung up without saying anything else.

"Mission report." Josh asked also playing in on the serious tone charade.

"Mission is undergo Captain." Susan said with a fake salute.

I rolled my eyes and could tell they were freaking Spencer out so I casual just said, "You guys are such geeks." exactly knowing that I would draw the conversation away from Star Trek.

It worked because I got two insulted looks and one that just, duh what do you expect. The outcome was I got a rant from both Allan and Susan while Josh, with his eyebrow still raised, started to read his book again.

Later in the afternoon I had Spencer call his parents telling them I would drop him off later, around eight, and pulled him toward the auditorium.

"But isn't school closing?" Spencer asked concerned when we just walked into the place.

"We have a thing with the principal and janitor, we leave before 7:30 and he'll swing by and lock the place." I said unconcerned and instructed Spencer to put leave his bag near the doors before going toward the upper seating areas.

"Why are we here?" Spencer asked especially when he say Susan, Allan, and Josh walk in also. Josh went toward the electronic desk while Allan and Susan started up the stairs.

"Because my dear Little Spencer, Operation Spock in undergo." Allan said sitting next to Spencer and putting his arm around the seat instead of Spencer's shoulders.

"But what is Operation Spock." Spencer all but whined looking very distraught.

Suddenly the regular lights turned off and the multiple ones turned on the stage, "Welcome, ladies and gentleman. To Operation Spock, I am your awesome host. Amanda." Amanda shouted into the microphone she had grabbed somewhere.

She was still in normal attire, jeans, plaid shirt, and a sweater over it, with square glasses perched on her nose.

"You may wonder why you are here. You may think that this place is weird to hang out. Worry not my friends and Spencer who I am just now meeting, because what we are gathered tonight....Is to watch Star Trek." Allan and Susan broke out into applause and even finger-whistled to Amanda who was bowing as the large projector was slowly coming down from the ceiling.

"Operation Spock...is just us watching Star Trek. How did I not put this together?" Spencer asked looking very distraught and confused at the new girl who he hasn't met because she's been busy.
