Caribbean "Two worlds collide"

Chapter 7

Xavier pro.

I pulled up to Chili's about 5 mins later.

I was about to pull into the parking lot when I noticed how jammed packed it was inside with customers.

Ugh.... Not what I was hoping for.

"hey..do you mind if we get lunch to go?"

I asked Taidan who was too busy looking out the window.

From the moment we pulled out onto the street she had her eyes glued to the window.

I was going to call out to her at one point but she seemed so into whatever she was staring at I didn't.

I just drove slowly letting her get a glimpse of every little store, plaza and hotel we passed.

"Taidan" I called out to her again.

"YES!!" she finally respond without looking at me.

"did you hear what I asked?"

"sorry... I di---"

I smiled at the lost face she made.

"nah its kool...was just asking if you mind if we got the food to go... its kinda full in there"

I repeated pointing in chili's.

By now I was parked in the parking lot.

"I don't mind"

"great"

I shift into reverse and turn to look if everything was clear before letting up off the brake.

I turn left then right trying to get the right view to reverse but the seatbelt held me in place.

I tugged on it a few times.

This fucking seatbelt is so bugging.

Ugh!

I didn't want to take it off just cause .... And only because Taidan told me to wear it.

Never ever wore it, that would explain the pile of seatbelt tickets I have on my driving record.

We join the not so long drive through line.

"Do you know what you want?"

I asked her as the menu was visible to us.

"awwwwwm.... Ill just get what ever your getting"

I looked over at her and smile...she reminded me of my mom and Jess. I take them out they do the same 'whatever your getting' thing.

Seems they don't like having a lot of choices to choose from I guess.

"ok..... what are you allergic to?"

"awwww....cheese, milk anything that is dairy..... but I eat them all anyways.. just not too much"

She stated not looking at me once.

I burst out laughing.

"What!!"

I asked her a bit confused.

She looked at me smiled and sat up straight in her seat.

"how you gonna be allergic and still eat them?.... You trying to die?"

She laughed and put her hand to her mouth to try and hide it.

"I just really love cheese" she confirmed with the most adorable smile.
