I read her text as I toss the phone aside on the bed. We had plans and she just went ghost, now she wanna just appear talking bout she is on her way.
Just wait till her ass gets here.

I jump as I was awoken by my phone ringing, I quickly grab it.
"Hello?"
"Xavier! Where are you?"
"I'm at home grandad what's up?"
"Can you come to the hospital on thirty fourth st"
"Wait what!!... why?"
"I'll tell you when you get here!"
He hang up before I could argue.

I grab my keys and dash out the room.
I check my phone but Taidan didn't call or text back just yet. I sent her a text before I drove off.
"I hope what or whom ever you blew me off for was worth it" not caring if any words were misspelled I sent it.

I felt a sharp pain in the pit of my stomach as I speed down the road.

"Please God let him be ok" I say aloud.
After running a few stop signs and going over the speed limits I finally got there ..
I parked quickly and ran up to the hospital doors.
I went in and looked around , I️ went up to the receptionist.
"Can you check for a—"

"Xavier!" 
I looked in the direction I heard someone called me and was happy when I saw my granddad.
Oh thank you Lord..
I ran up to him and hugged him.

"Oh thank God your ok.... why'd you scare me like that?.. I thought you had a fall or something." I told him as I released him,
But he didn't respond .

His eyes were red as if he been crying..

"What's wrong?" I asked him
He started crying...
"Grandpa whats wrong?" My eyes filled with tears just from seeing him crying.
He hugged me once more..

"Xavier.... Taidan had been shot" He said in a low voice crying harder each time a word come out his mouth.

"WHAT!.... NO!... She just texted me saying she ganna be over!" I told him as I laughed a lil with tears still in my eyes, pulling out his arms.

"Xavier she is in the ER now in serious condition" He tells me , making sure is was looking me in the eyes.
Assuring me he was not kidding.

"NO!!! That can't be true" I pull my phone out and called her number.

The second it started to ring my heart beg just to hear her voice on the next end, but I didn't. I end the call and called again, this time it went to voicemail.
My eyes fill up and my emotions took over .

"NO NO NO!!! PICK UP! PICK UP!" I repeated over and over as reality starts to kick in..

"Harris!" Jess runs up to me crying as she hugs me...
"OH GOD JESS!" I wept aloud in Jess's arms..
"I️ HAVE TO SEE HER !" I cried as everyone around me slowly start to disappear .
All I could see is her face, her smile and everything that makes me love her more and more everyday.
I pull form Jess's arms and ran to the ER , I have to see it  to believe it... this is not happening .
I ran up to the door with Grandad and Jess behind me. Before I could go through the doors I was blocked by two police officers.

"I'm sorry but you won't be able to go in at this time"One said.
"She is my girlfriend , what the fuck you mean I can't go in?" I cursed at him , still tearing up.

"Ma'am calm down, if you keep cursing we will have to apprehend you".

"Xavier stop please" my granddad begged as he held my hand, I hugged him.
"I'm sorry ......... this is all my fault" I cried on his shoulder.
