"Wake up, Sleeping Beauty." I woke up to see Kathryn hovering over me.

"Nice to see you too Malefacent. Couldn't you have made the spell longer?" I yawned and stretched as I got up. My curly hair was a mess. I grabbed a hair tie from my wrist and put my hair up in a messy bun.

It's been around two or three months since the ranpage started and we've come to stay in this cottage. So far, no creepers have gotton anywhere near this place and we've done a few runs to a nearby town for supplies.

"Come on, we're gonna go on a run with those girls." Kathryn said.

"You mean Delilah and Tory?" I looked around to see everyone else awake. The windows were still boarded and everyone grabbed their wepons.

"Yeah them." She rolled her eyes.

I walked outside to see Delilah, Tory, and Tony waiting for me and Kathryn.

"Go get your wepons from the car." Kathryn ordered.

"You didn't say anything about Tony." I said. I looked at Kathryn with a confused look.

"Well I didn't know about the guy." Kathryn stated.

I looked at her with disbelief.

"I dont gotta know everything do I?" Kathryn muttered.

"Bu-"

"Just go get your weapon!!" Kathryn scolded. I ran to the car and opened the trunk of the car. It was just below the cottage that was hidden by a few trees.

I grabbed a holder used for guns and buckled it around my waist like a belt. I then grabbed the gun and made sure it had enough bullets. My dad taught me how to use it, but I gotta admit I'm a bit rusty. After I placed the gun in its holder, I looked in the bag.

I found a butterfly knife that fit perfectly in my hand. It was my uncle's. He left it with us the month before this when he visited. I dont think he'll be able to get it back anytime soon. I placed it inside my pocket. I also grabbed a knife before leaving and going where the others waited for me.

"What about Callie and the others?" I asked Kathryn.

"Their gonna stay here and help gaurd the place." Kathryn responded.

"Let's go." Tony ordered. When Kathryn said "we're going for a run" she meant it. We ran passed the nearby forest and toward a little town.

There was filth and parts from some messed up builings everywhere. Even worse, the whole place is over run by  creepers.

"How do we get by?" I asked. Tony stared foward and so did Kathryn.

There was suddenly growls heard. I turned to see about three creepers coming our way. Tory and Kathryn sprang into action. I suddenly felt a cold and rough grasp on my shoulder.

"Careful!" Tony stabbed the zombie, but was pushed away by another
and missed by only stabbing its back. I fell back, the creeper on top of me.

"MEL!" Kathryn's voice echoed through the forest. The creepers looked around not knowing where it came from.

Tony and the others were too preoccupied with some other creepers.

"Help!" I screamed. It growled as it tried to bite me. I started pushing it with all my strength. I pushed it away and grabbed the small knife I had in my pocket before it sprang at me again. I stabbed it but missed and ended up slashing its stomach. Blood and some guts fell all over me and my clothes.

"Ugh!" I wanted to hurl, but didnt have time to focus on that.

"Melanie!" Kathryn stabbed the creeper in the head and I got up. I looked over to see a few creepers coming this way. We got up and ran for it. Creepers suddenly surrounded us and began to attack the others.
