We waited on the couch, talking about irrelevant shit while waiting on Sauce and Avery.
"Bruh?" I said.
"Yeah?"
"If man, gets his daughter pregnant, would that be his child, or his grandchild? Or both?" I said, lifting my head.
"She high, she been asking dumb shit for the past thirty minutes," Trent said.
"That was a hits blunt moment," Taj said.
"That's some shit to think about though . I think both," Ross said.
"No, it would be his child," Cameron said.
"Nah, it would be what he wanna claim the baby as," D said.
"Then wait– is his mama his mama, or his sister? Or his grandma?!" I asked.
"Grandma? How grandma?" Taj asked.
"If the daughter and her daddy are in a lil relationship, wouldn't she be like his step-grandma or some shit," I said.
"Step-grandma ! I'm dead!" Jock said.
"For real! I need answers!"
"It would be both, I'm pretty sure," Trent said.
"O.K., what the hell you doing over there? You ain't said nothing since we started talking," I said.
"Huh? Oh, I wasn't texting nobody, I was scrolling through Instagram," he said, sliding his phone in his back pocket.
I stood up and got in the middle of the living room. I squatted down and started singing the 'Why You Lying' song.
"Why tf you lying? Why you always lying? Mm, omigod. Stop fucking lying!"
"Bruh! This girl lit af!" D said said.
"Y'all niggas funny," O.K. said.
Then Sauce and Avery came downstairs.
"What we miss?" Sauce said.
"I got married," I said.
"For real?"
"Yeah, cause y'all took five years to come back!" I said.
"What was y'all doing up there, anyway?" Taj asked.
"We was only talking, I swear. Ion do that on the first date," Avery said.
"It's true," I said.
"Wait, that was y'all first date? What type of date was that?" Taj asked, laughing.
"Sauce broke af, you know that," Jock said.
I couldn't hold in my laugh.
"Man, shut up. I got money," Sauce said.
"That's probably exactly what he told her!" Trent said. We all burst out laughing, minus Sauce and Avery.
Avery was just standing there, shaking her head and smiling.
Sauce was looking like he finna square up with somebody.
"Ight, y'all funny," Sauce said.
"Af!" I said. At this point I was rolling on the floor laughing.
"You extra, Alaya," Avery said.
"I know."
"What y'all wanna do?" Taj said.
"Stay in the house," I said.
"Bruh, it's boring!" He said.
"Y'all always acting like y'all can't just stay ing the house and watch TV for once," I said.
"You don't know how often we do this, we only been living together for two days," Trent said.
"I know well enough," I said.
"Well, I gotta go somewhere anyway. Gotta take care of business," O.K. said, putting his phone back in his back pocket. I didn't even realize he took it back out.
"Ight bruh," They said.
He dapped everyone up before he walked to the door.
"Pray before you step," Trent said.
"Ight family," O.K. said. He walked and I pointed to the door with my thumb.
"What was all that dapping for?" I asked.
"We do it all the time, no biggie," Ryan said.
"Oh, well okay," I said.
"I won't understand why boys do the most to this day," Avery said, shaking her head.
"Girl, yes!" I said, high fiving her.
"Y'all don't understand why we do that. Well, you might if we explained it, but you wouldn't," Cameron said.
"Bruh, Cameron, shut tf up!" Ross said.
"Man I'm just saying! It's not like I said what–"
"Just shut up man!" Trent said.
Everything went quiet, but I just had to say, "Okay."
I love making awkward situations more awkward. 😊
