( Jean Smith POV )

“Hmph!” I sighed sitting at my ruby colored Victorian couch while loosing my tie “ That boy sure knows how to pissed me off!!! I’m just concerned about him but what did I get……”Ugh!”( Gulp) Ah!!!” As I drunk a bottle of wine hurriedly “ I don’t need your concern!!....BLAH!..BLAH!...BLAH!!” mimicking his speech “ He hadn’t grown up ever since!!! He’s still BRAT!!!!” I continuously talked to myself while enjoying the wine.

“AAHH!!” shouting angrily as I scuffed and messed my hair ‘ Who’s trying to call me at this hour???!!!’ asking myself . I immediately grabbed the phone and answered “ WHAT??!!” .

“ Mr. Smith!” surprised by the cheery voice and sudden caller ‘ He’s familiar!’ I thought deep and ‘ POP!’ It’s Mr. Jackson!! An important client ! Shit! ………Calm yourself! Smith!!.....Inhale!!...Exhale!!.....Don’t be affected and involve in child’s fight!! Your professional!!  My thoughts helped me enough to changed my mood. “ Oh! Mr. Jackson ! Why have you called ?? “ I questioned heading towards my work table.

“ I just want to confirm if everything’s alright!!” he asked with hint of uncertainty! Maybe he think we back out!! Since a lot of traders like us avoid transactions at this state because of the government!! I have to assure him that everything is fine !!’  Was Michael late?? NO!! That brat knows the importance of time!!! “ Don’t worry Mr. Jackson everything’s under control!!!” I replied to him without hesitation, glancing at the clock’ It’s just 6:50 PM at evening I’m sure at this time he’s already there except if something unplanned happened I better call him!!! “ The Raven is already on his way to the meeting place!! Have you got his message!!!” I  asked him, it became habit of Michael since he started being my partner , I still remembered what he said to me “ Wasn’t first impression is always important in starting a business??” I didn’t know what he meant by that when he talked to me. But as we became so-called” Partners” for almost year ,I finally knew what he implied “ Impression is important in business. His notes became unique and it takes the interest of many clients that’s why we have reached being top “ his identity has been hidden ever no one sees his face except me and Nicolas .

He chuckled first “ Yeah! I received his message and it didn’t change after all this year!! It always make me think who he is?! But business is business !! Every each of us had secrets to hide!!! HaHaHa!! But-” he said merrily but stopped for a moment I heard him sigh deep and asked seriously                                                 “ Are you sure it’s safe??!!”

“ Yes! I guarantee you!! Raven does his work nice and clean!! You have been our client for a long time I’m sure you know how we work!!” I told him confidently. Michael and I always finished his job perfectly! No more like him!! It’s the truth Really ……even me can’t think how he came up with his way of planning.

“ I’m glad that you took my favor! It really is important cause one of my close friend requested it to me!! Even I know about the government !! I hope you understand !!”He replied to me. “ You don’t have to!! It’s our pleasure to serve and meet our customers’ needs!!!” I told him truthfully.

“ Farewell! Mr. Smith!! And again Thank You!! I hope to see Raven again !!”

“ You are!!! Farewell! Mr. Jackson!!” I replied and dialed Michael’s number.

RING!! RING!!!!! RING!!!!! RIN--!!”

“ Michael!! Where were you Mr. Jackson called me and it seems you haven’t met up with him !!!’ I said to him peeking at the window “ It wasn’t you to be this LATE!!!” It’s unusual for him to be late with he’s meetings specially the important one’s  I waited for he’s reply and it took long ….I have a bad feeling about this!!

“ I-m –H-a-Ha- At  the em-pty lot nea-r at the n-ew sit-e !!!” He told me stammering and gasping for breath’ He’s running ‘ And why is he at a lot?? “ Hey ! Michael What’s wrong ? Are you running? Why the hell are you at the CONSTRUCTION SITE???!!” I asked him  in alarm ‘ Something really happened!’ I walked down back and forth I did this when I’m nervous

I heard some police siren and gunshots  “ Hey Michael are you still there! Answer ME!!!” I asked worriedly, he didn’t replied to me but I still listened then later, after some minutes the siren and gunshots was faintly heard all can be heed was some sound crawling and twig snapping. Like he’s climbing up in a tree. And finally he replied and he’s message make me fell down on my couch
