Everyone believed him and they trusted all his lies,
but I could see mendacity behind those cunning eyes.He wanted us to bring a trophy to prove our worth and might,
and somehow, by the grace of God, we made it through that night. But even though we conquered and were promised what we wished,
the humbug proved dishonest and to us he said, “Dismissed.”We all grew angry very quick and the curtain we threw back,
and shocked we were, for this was worse than any surprise attack.Although he wasn’t what he said, he was still a very good man,
a man who had potential to restore the corrupted land.Though he lied when stating that he was the Great and Powerful,
we discovered that behind the mask, he was something Wonderful.
