all those years
I wasted
on books
on TV
on alone time
on insecurity
on wondering who cared
and who didn't
on wondering what they would think
on being confused
on being scared
on being nervous
on being ashamed
on being embarrassed
on hurting
on worrying
on crying
on wondering
what could have beenand now
it's almost too late
you're gone
she's gone
he's goneeveryone is gone
or taken
and I am all aloneand I wonder
what could have been
how it could be
why did I wait?
why was I so scared?fate must have had it that way
it was in the books
and time decided
what happenedbut I listen again
to that sad song
and think
that maybe there will be another chance
because I wasted the first onewill I waste the second?
