Some days after Spencer and Leah had told their work colleagues about the pregnancy, Leah had finally managed to go and meet her best friend since she was a girl – Billie Turner. Billie had a job out of town and so the two women hadn't have much time to see each other lately. But Leah couldn't wait to tell her best friend the amazing news, so she had called her to set a date for having coffee.

"Hello, darling!" With a huge smile on her face, Billie stepped towards Leah and pulled her into an embrace.

"Hey", Leah murmured and then looked at her best friend. "You look good!", she then commented and the beaming smile on Billie's face grew.

"Same to you! Okay, let's have a seat and a coffee", Billie sighed and dragged Leah to one of the free tables. They had decided to meet at their favorite coffee shop in town – the one that sold the best caramel macchiato in the whole wide world. But today Leah didn't feel like drinking a coffee. She knew that caffeine wasn't that good for an unborn baby, so she decided to order some apple juice.

Billie watched her frowning. "An apple juice? Are you sick or..." She seemed to be confused, Leah usually drank coffee whenever the two of them met. Leah bit her lips now but she couldn't hide a smile. She wiggled on her chair before she turned to Billie again.

"Okay, I have to tell you something. I'm... I'm pregnant."

Leah saw Billie's eyes widen at her words and her jaw dropped after a few minutes. "You...you are...you are...pregnant?", she stammered and Leah nodded, a huge smile on her face now. She couldn't hide it anymore, she was too happy about this whole situation. And Billie was happy as well; she jumped from her chair and wrapped her arms around Leah.

"Oh my god, I can't believe it!", she exclaimed laughing.

"I couldn't neither first", Leah murmured against the fabric of her best friend's shirt before she pulled away again.

"That's such great news, that's awesome! Oh my god!", Billie squealed and put her hands on her cheeks. "Do you already know what it is? A girl or a boy?"

Leah shook her head as she took a sip of her apple juice the waitress just had brought. "No, it's way too early. And...to be honest I don't care what it is, as long as it will be healthy."

"You're right, that's true", Billie nodded. She leaned back in her chair and for a while she just examined her best friend.

"What?", Leah asked as she lowered her gaze to the glass of apple juice in front of her. She didn't like it when people stared at her.

Billie just shrugged. "I just can't believe that you're going to be a mom", she murmured. "I know you'll be amazing in that role and Spencer as well", she continued and made Leah smile again.

"Thank you. I really hope that everything will go well and that we'll be able to take care of such a little human being." A sigh escaped Leah's mouth.

"Look", Billie started and placed her hand on top of Leah's, "you'll be the most amazing mother to your child because you're a wonderful and loving woman."

Although there were thoughts that left Leah insecure sometimes, she knew that her best friend was right.

For the rest of the afternoon, the two women chatted about Leah's pregnancy, about their job and if there were any other news in their lifes and Leah really enjoyed that time with Billie and decided to meet her way more often than she have had over the last couple of months.

"When do you want to tell it your parents?", Spencer asked as he and Leah were lying in bed, cuddled up. It had been a long day and they both were tired, but sleep still didn't seem to want to come.
