It was around two in the morning when Leah suddenly woke up. Spencer was lying next to her, sleeping soundly. She tried to fall back asleep, but all she ended up doing was tossing and turning around once more.

Eventually she got up with a deep sigh. There was no way she could fall asleep again anytime soon. And she didn't want to wake up Spencer.

Leah lumbered into the kitchen; she was hungry. Opening the fridge, she inspected the content of it. What was she craving? Moving her lips, Leah let her look wander through the different parts of the fridge until her face lit up. "Oh, pickled cucumbers!", she said to herself, grabbed the glass and put it on the small table. Next she spotted some strawberry yoghurt she grabbed as well.

Of course Leah knew that combination was more than weird, it must have been disgusting to others. But not to her, not now. She craved that combination of yoghurt and pickled cucumbers and she sat down at the table, opened the glass and the yoghurt and started to eat. Yes, this wasn't even that bad.

"Leah? What...are you doing? It's in the middle of the night." A sleepy voice reached her ears and she turned around on her chair, a spoon full of yoghurt in her mouth. Spencer was standing there, his hair a total mess and he looked incredibly tired and a little bit confused.

Leah swallowed before she answered: "I was...hungry. Did I wake you up?" Leah watched Spencer grabbing a spoon and sitting down on a chair next to hear. He shook his head.

"No, not really. I woke up when I felt you weren't lying next to me anymore." He smiled at her and then grabbed the yoghurt. His eyes wandered to the glass full of pickled cucumbers and he grimaced. "Pickled cucumbers and yoghurt? Seriously, babe?"

Leah chuckled and dipped a cucumber in the yoghurt.

"Ewww!" Spencer agitated what made Leah laugh now.

"It's the baby's fault", she murmured and closed her eyes as she took a bit of the in yoghurt covered cucumber. When she opened her eyes again, she saw Spencer looking at her with such a loving expression on his face that she pulled her chair closer to him so she could press a kiss on his lips.

"Spence, you don't have to sit here with me", Leah finally said while she examined his tired face. But Spencer shook his head.

"I couldn't fall asleep again anyway at the moment", he confessed with a smirk. His thumb was stroking the back of Leah's hand.

"Okay, then...share that yoghurt with me", she said and moved the yoghurt towards Spencer. "Don't worry, I'll eat the cucumbers alone!", she grinned when she saw his eyes shooting a glance to the glass.

For some moments Spencer and Leah felt silent before the young woman looked up again. "Spencer...I couldn't find anything about my biological parents and...I thought...or better, Billie thought, that I could ask Penelope to find out something. You know, she was a hacker, she knows how to get information online", she said hesitantly because she wasn't sure how Spencer would react to that.

The young agent's eyes met hers. "I'm not quite sure that it's allowed to find information about adoptions this way, but..." He stopped and gently stroked Leah's cheek for a second. "I want you and our baby to be fine. And I know that situation stresses you. Let's talk to Penelope about that tomorrow, okay?" He smiled at Leah and she let out a little sigh of relief.

"Okay. Uhm...I guess I've had enough. Let's go back to bed?" Leah slowly got up from her chair and reached out her hand towards Spencer. He grabbed it and after they've put the food back into the fridge, they made their way back into the bedroom and into bed.

With a content sigh Leah snuggled into Spencer's arms and placed her head on his chest. "I have another check-up tomorrow at my gynecologist, would you like to join me?", she asked as she just remembered that appointment now.

"Of course I want to join you!", Spencer said and sounded extremely excited. "Let's just hope there won't be a case tomorrow..." He kissed Leah's head and then they fell asleep almost immediately, both exhausted from the day and the late-night-food they've just had.

The next morning Spencer and Leah were almost late for the doctor's appointment and they had to hurry a bit. When they arrived at the doctor's office, Leah started to see how excited and nervous Spencer was. His right leg was moving all the time, even when they sat and waited for the gynecologist.

With a smile Leah put a hand on Spencer's leg. "Calm down, honey. You're making me nervous as well."

"Sorry", he murmured and then grabbed your hand, a little sigh escaping his mouth. "It's just...it's the first time I'll see our baby and I'm just...nervous", he tried to explain. Leah could totally understand him.

Just when she pressed a little kiss on his cheek, they got called into the examination room. With her heart pounding hard against her chest, Leah settled down while her gynecologist welcomed Spencer who nervously put some of his hair back behind his ear.

Minutes later Spencer was staring on the monitor of the ultrasound; his eyes huge, his mouth open a bit and there was an expression on his face that made Leah smile. He looked amazed, happy and overwhelmed. She slightly squeezed his hand.

"That's...that's our baby, Leah", he whispered.

"Yes, it is", she whispered back.

The gynecologist gave Leah a paper to wipe away the gel and then turned around to the ultrasound. "Would you like the picture?"

"Would we...? Is that a question, seriously? Of course we want!", Spencer said and Leah laughed.

"I'm sorry, he's a bit nervous", she apologized but the gynecologist waved aside, a smirk on his lips.

"That's normal, literally every man who's becoming a father acts that way." He handed the printed picture to Spencer and the young agent stared at it once again. Then he leaned over and kissed Leah.

"I love you, darling, so much."

With the little ultrasound picture Spencer and Leah drove away a bit later. Spencer had to go to work now and Leah had decided to join him. She had told at work that she'd be later today and she wanted to talk to Penelope about the possibility to find out something about her biological parents.

When they entered the bureau, Spencer straight went to his desk. There were plenty of files on his desk and a little sigh came out of his mouth. "This will take some hours I guess", he murmured and let his fingers run through his hair. Leah smiled and kissed his cheek.

"I'll have to go to work as well in about an hour. Don't worry. We'll see us tonight." She turned around and made her way to Penelope's office. Leah couldn't wait to tell her everything and find out if she could find out something.

"Leah!", Penelope shrieked and jumped from her chair when she realized Leah had entered her office. "How are you doing, lovely? How's the baby doing? Are you both fine? Tell me everything!", she blabbered, what made Leah laugh.

"Everything's okay, Pen. We're both doing fine", Leah said and rubbed over her growing baby bump. She let herself sink on a chair Penelope had just rolled over to her.

"I've got to tell you something", she continued and Penelope's eyes sparkled full of excitement and curiosity. And so Leah began to tell he friend what she had learned about her parents.

Penelope listened to her, her mouth open with shock. She couldn't believe what Leah was telling her. "Oh my god", she whispered when Leah finally finished. "Oh god, Leah I'm so sorry, dear." Penelope pulled Leah in a hug and she was thankful for that embrace. It wasn't easy for her to talk about her adoption.

"Pen, do you...do you think you could find out something about my biological parents? No one seems to have information. No one seems to be able to tell me anything." Leah bit her lips as she felt tears filling her eyes.

Penelope put a hand on Leah's leg. "I'll do what I can, okay? It'll take some time, but I'm sure I can find something." She gave Leah an encouraging smile and Leah managed to smile back. "Thank you, Penelope. You're the best." Another hug followed and then Leah had to leave again, otherwise she'd come to work too late.
