You left us when I was
seven,
returned when I was
eleven.

A few months later and only
five days before we
met
once more I found mom on the porch floor with two men dressed like you and gave bad news - you were
dead.

For months on end she'd be in her
room
listening to the CD you married
to.

Fifteen and mom's pain never went
away
She whispered death for many
days,
nights on end she never
ate.

16 and mother's body has been
numbed,
Now she sits and watches me grow and she can never have any
fun.

Her body paid the price for the abuse and now she only has a few years to
live,
I honestly don't know how
much more her body can
give.

18 now and the world took me and I have no one to hold
me,
I miss you mom and dad
now i'm feeling really
lonely.

18 isn't as easy as I
thought,
thinking of all the times me and ma
fought,
all those lessons I learned
but you never
taught,
taught them to myself
and recently became a
dad,
kids always ask about you
guys and it makes me
sad,
to tell them your never gonna meet them and your life is in the
past,
But I'll forever talk about you guys because I love you mom and
dad.
