"So, you won't believe what Breanna did today!" Savannah tells me the next day with wide, blue eyes.
I quickly examine her wavy blonde hair, defined cheekbones and simple yet cute outfit.
Every girl despises her for her beauty. Except for me, since I have accepted the fact that I am stuck with the same face forever and that I may as well learn to like it instead of wishing I had another girls looks and being miserable for the rest of my life. It really is a simple concept and it has helped me a whole lot.
"Oh god, what did she do now?" I groan, flipping my hair and running my fingers through my impossible tangles. Breanna Landry is the most popular girl in the whole school. Maybe even in the city. She's the biggest fruck of all the frucks. The fruck queen. She's, unsurprisingly, loaded and apparently lives in a huge ass mansion. Her dad apparently owns the biggest real estate company, so it isn't a surprise as to where all the money comes from. All the boys go crazy for her of course, including Noah.
I mentally roll my eyes.
"So we were sitting in class and I overheard her talking to all the boys about how her mom was being 'so annoying' the other night for not doing her laundry or something, and then she 'accidentally' drops her pencil and she stands up and slowly LEANS down to get it while fully exposing her ass to everyone in the entire class. At least 13 guys took a picture of it. I swear she was bent down for so long." Savannah finishes.
My jaw unattractively hits the floor. I'm in actual awe at the fact that someone could have such little self respect.
"Okay, she really has no chill." I say, shaking my head.
We begin to discuss the issues with young women in todays society, and our discussion ends in us talking about how everyone is so oblivious about everything nowadays. Tech class zooms by and Savannah and I take buzzfeed quizzes for the rest of our time. The bell finally rings and we get up and walk out the door.
Just as I walk out, Alex, a boy in my class, brushes past me, "accidentally" pressing almost the whole side of his body onto mine and mutters an apology. I just glare at him as he hurries off.
That was definitley no accident.
Me and Alex have a weird history. We had some "issues" a couple of years ago, but I moved on and I'd rather not talk about it. He, however, hasn't. He's told almost everyone in our grade that we used to have a "thing", and only those who really know me , know that I despise the term and idea of a "thing". At least 5 people have come up to me this year telling me that he is always talking about me. Autumn this, Autumn that. I should be flattered, but it's Alex. So I'm not.
Savannah and I say our goodbyes and I watch as multiple guys check her out while we go our seperate ways. Ugh. Boys are pigs.

I get onto the bus and sit down. My sweater is falling off my now semi-exposed shoulder and based on the reflection of my phone screen, my hair is a mess, but it's the end of the day and I couldn't care less. I check the time.
2:52 pm.
Putting my glasses on I begin to read "Audacious", the book I picked up at the library last night. Kids of all shapes and sizes crowd the bus and soon enough the engine of the bus is starting. But before the bus driver can close the door, Noah runs on, gym bag in hand.
He runs his fingers through his messy hair and scans the back for a seat. The boys in the back yell his name and he returns the favor, but then realizes theres no room near them and shakes his head. He then slows down near my seat.
