Chapter Two: Having Fun and Saying Yes

CHAPTER TWO: HAVING FUN AND SAYING YES

Emily's POV

After getting home, and going to bed, I couldn't sleep.

My mind kept trialling off to that boy I met today, Ashton. Pictures of him flashed through my mind every now and then. Every time, a thought of him rushed throwing my mind, I got goosebumps and my heart started to beat at least 100 times faster.

The next day was Saturday! Great the weekend... I thought to myself, but shortly after remembered that I wasn't going to see my friends or anyone I knew

at all, because i was new. That couldn't fit into my head still, how a couple of weeks ago I was perfectly fine, and now I've moved from my home, my friends and family were left behind, a new city were nobody knows me creeped in my head. And everything was so different.

This morning I went to my cousins Alex's house.

Alex's POV

I invited Emily, my cousin, over because since she's new and all, I thought she wouldn't have anyone to hang out with, and well, obviously because she's my cousin.

Last night when we were all hanging out, and I introduced her to my friends, she was shy and I totally understand her. But when she said hi to this friend I have, which I've known since birth practically, Ashton, she was more shy than with the rest. Also, something I haven't said about Ashton is that he is not shy at all, on the contrary he is mostly the center of attention. When the said hi, he got this shade of pink in his cheekbones, and so did Emily. What a coincidence! I said to myself but shortly after everything cleared up.

After Emily left last night, Ashton slept over at my house, and we kept talking about you know... Normal guy stuff.

But Ashton mentioned to me that he thought my cousin was nice and kinda cute. And I immediately said he should ask her out, but at that same instant I thought about what had happened to Emily with her last boyfriend, he dumped her, and the next day was with a slut!

I told Ashton to het to know her better, that she is an awesome girl, but she's kind of shy lately because she's new and all.

The next morning I got a super amazing idea. I decided to invite Emily, without telling her that Ashton was staying over, and also I didn't tell Ashton, Emily was coming over.

I wanted to see their expressions on their faces when they saw each other, to make sure Emily thought of him well.

Emily's POV

I was arriving to Alex's house, when I saw the same car parked outside in the drive way as last night. Weird, but I thought to myself, oh well he must have some friends over.

I knocked on the door, and guess who opened it?

Ashton

I froze... Like I don't usually freeze when I see a hot guy, ohhhh who am I kiding, I always do.

Just looking at his hazelnut eyes made me melt and I took a reality check when my cousin popped his head in Ashton's shoulder and said "Hey Emily, what's going on?"

"Ohh, nothing I just got here"

I walked inside his house and there was no one sitting in the black leathered couches.

I went and sat down, and said hello to Ashton, and he responded saying "Oh Hi Emily! Great to see you"

That calmed me down a bit, I thought I was intruding in something.

...

That day was phenomenal!

We played board games, ate some pizza, watched basket ball. And may I add tags that Ashton loves basket ball, he's spirit during the game totally showed it.

It was getting late so I said my parents were waiting for me at home.

I saw as I said those words, that Ashton's face went from a smile from ear to ear, to a slightly disappointed face.

My cousin said "Okay, it HAS been an amazing day, I guess it's time to go home. Let me grab my keys so I can take you missy home"

Ashton said "No it's okay, I'll take her"

I was a little scared by those words.

My cousin said with devious eyes glaring at me "I thats what you want, don't loose her! and bye guys I'm getting tired of all this talking"

As he said he walked upstairs, and disappeared into his room.

"Let's go"

...

In the ride home, it was almost completely silent, until the very end that he stopped his car in front of my house and said "Emily, today was awesome spending time with you"

I could imagine my cheeks becoming a light shade of red at the moment.

Then he added "Would you like to go out sometime?"

Me? Really? Me?

I just looked at his eyes how they glowed under the dim lights of the street lamps covered by his window.

I built up the courage to say "That sounds nice"

"So can I pick you up Friday at 7?"

"Okay, I'll see you then!"

What?!? No, no, no! I promised myself something, but my heart betrayed me from saying the truth.

He handed me a piece of paper and said "Here's my number, goodnight love"

As I walked out of his car I waved goodbye with a flirty smile on my face. I don't even know how I managed for that smile to creep on my face. Ohhhh man, I can't lie to myself, I liked him, a lot.
