Chapter 2

Colleen's POV

I press my books to my chest as I cautiously enter the school. I look around and it's a zoo in here. I can already tell the popular, the unpopular, the jocks, theatre nerds, band geeks. I make my way through the crowded halls to the office. There they give me my schedule and locker number. " Ok so you're all set, and we're gonna let Christina show you around the school today." the too perky office lady tells me. I nod and who I'm guessing is Christina waves at me.  I give a soft smile back and turn back to to the office lady. " Ok you guys can go, have an awesome first day Colleen." she says. " Uh Thanks." I say quietly and we leave the office. " Follow me newbie." Christina says and starts walking fast. I nod and catch up to her. " So I should probably tell you how things work around here." she says. " There's all your generic stereotypical groups as you might've seen." I nod and we stop at my locker to drop off my books. The halls are pretty much empty now since class has started so it's only the two of us. " Just stay clear of Rebecca, and you're pretty much good to go." she says leaning against the lockers. "Who's Rebecca?" I ask her. " She's you're typical Queen Bee, popular, little two faced slutty jerk." she says angrily. I nod understanding and we continue our walk to class. " Well this is your stop, good luck in there newbie." she says and leaves me. I open the door and try to quietly walk in so no one would notice me. " Ah you must be Colleen, the new girl." the teacher says and I immediately hate him. ' Great now everyone knows me as the new girl.' I think to myself. " Um yeah that's me." I say quietly. " Ok welcome to theatre! I'm Mr. Fritzy, and I will be your teacher. ' Fritzy.. ok wow.' " Well class stop being so rude and introduce yourself." he says as I take a seat. " I'm Heather."  a blonde headed girl says and smiles. The list continues. " I'm Kory, and I'm gay." a boy says making me laugh a little. " I'm Joshua, but you can call me Josh." A very attractive boy says. I find myself staring and don't listen to the rest of the list. I snap back to reality when Firtzy starts yelling about how his wife won't stop calling him about coming home to rub her back. 'This is gonna be a long year.. but I'm sure I can get through it if I stare at Josh the whole time. ' ' Woah Colleen stop you don't even know him stop being so creepy.' The class is finally over and a girl comes up to me. " Hi I'm Heather." she says shaking my hand. "I'm Colleen." I say forcing a smile. "Cool you should sit with me at lunch." she says. " Um ok." I say calmly but freaking out on the inside. The bell rings and I make my way to the next class. Maybe this year won't be so bad after all. But... maybe it will.
