Josh's POV
This is the worst day of my life. I hate Rebecca. Everything is turning upside down when they were just starting to right. Right when I discover my true feelings for someone this happens. Rebecca forced me to ignore Colleen or else she would make sure everyone would bully my sister. Liking me is one thing, but putting my family in the middle of it has crossed the line. To make things worse, Colleen must totally hate me now. I mean, I would. I can barely think straight in any of my classes and get in trouble a few times for " lack of concentration". When school finally gets out I run home as fast as I can because I only live a few blocks away. As soon as I get inside I run upstairs and flop on the bed as tears form in my eyes. Why Me?" Joshua are you ok honey?" my mom asks feeling my forehead. " You've barely eaten anything and it's your favorite." she says. " Just tired that's all." I lie. " Ok hon, why don't you go lie down." she says. I nod thank my mom for dinner and head upstairs. I just wanna talk to her. I truly do love her.
Colleen's POV
" Colleen Mae Ballinger." my mom calls from the living room in an angry tone. Uh Oh. " Yes." I say coming in staring at the ground. " I just got a call from your principal saying you were not present in any of your classes after lunch." she says angrily. " Where were you and what were you thinking?" she asks. I immediately start bawling and her expression changes to a sad, confused face. " What's wrong honey." she asks pulling me down next to her. "You wanna talk about it." she says rubbing my back. I sigh and begging to tell her everything from the very beginning about the party, then hanging out with Josh over the weekend, then today. " I'm so sorry honey." she says kissing my forehead. I blow my noise and continue to sob. "Let's calm down and think about this." she says. " If Josh really seemed upset about telling you all this, maybe it wasn't his decision." she says. " What do you mean?" I ask looking up at her. " I'm just saying maybe Rebecca put him up to this, you did say you saw her talking to him right?" " Right." I say. "And if that's not what's going on, but I'm sure it is, he's just not worth your time." she says. " You think so?" I ask. She nods and I give her a big hug. " Sorry I ditched mom, I won't do it again." I say meaning it. " It's ok sweetie." " If I were in your shoes I'd do the exact same thing." she says. We spend the rest of the night just cuddling and talking about boys. Sometimes you have really crappy days, but then they turn into moments like these that remind you of so much joy, and to spread happiness and love to everyone.
