Skie's POV

Saturday came by so fast, it was like my life flashed before my eyes. My nerves were acting up and my palms were sweaty.

Nervously, I grabbed my brush and brushed through my wavy hair, making sure to get every tangle out.

Hopping out of my seat, I ran to the restroom and quickly brushed my teeth. Yesterday, when I skimmed through the message Lilly had sent, it said to meet up at one-thirty pm, and it was already one.

I applied some clear lipgloss, wiping away some of it.

I didn't want to look like a Barbie.

Luckily, my mom already knew that I was going out, since she looks through my phone, just to see what I'm doing.

I told her that she's being a stalker, but she highly disagreed. Putting the strap of my purse over my shoulder, I left. It took about twenty minutes to get there, and I looked through the clear, glass window. Sean was sitting in a seat, looking quite lonely. A small smile rose on my lips and I walked inside.

The bell rang, once I walked in and Sean's head turned so he could see who had walked in. He had a full-blown smile on his plump lips and he looked a lot happier at the sight of me. It was weird, cause butterflies erupted in my stomach and I felt more nervous than before.

"Hey," I squeaked, taking a seat in front of him. "Hi," he spoke with a charming smile. I could feel my heart beat rise. "Erm, so... How've you been lately?" I asked, with an awkward laugh. "Not too good. My manager is being a complete ass," he said. I laughed.

"Poor you, now, I need to order my coffee, cause I don't want to blow up on anyone." He nodded his head, agreeing with me.

He waved one of the waiters over. A girl came over to us with a flirtatious smile and her lips were lifted up in a smirk. "How may I help you?" She asked, staring straight at Sean. "Um, I'd like the pink drink and..." Sean looked at me.

"Oh, I'd like a caramel frappé, please," I said, looking up at the waitress. All she did was look Sean up and down. Coughing loudly, she jumped. "Sorry, what was that?"

Rolling my eyes at the girl, I repeated myself. "Okay, I'll have your drinks here in a few seconds," she chirped, walking away with a slight sway of her hips. "Ugh, I hate girls like that," I spoke up, pretending to vomit. Sean chuckled. "It was quite sickening, wasn't it?"

I grinned.

"Yeah... It was..."

We looked each other in the eyes, and I couldn't be more happier. His blue eyes twinkled in the light and I got lost in them. His smile wasn't too big, but I could tell that he was happy as he stared into my eyes. We sorta leaned in, getting ready to kiss, and I couldn't help but blush.

That was until the waitress ruined the moment. "Here's your drinks!" She practically screamed.

"Eek!" I squealed.

Blinking, I stared at my drink. "Thanks," I said, taking off the tiny piece of straw paper that she left on there. I started to sip, but then I saw the small paper that she sat in front of Sean.

Call me ;) 620-726-4951 (it's just a number I made up TBH 😂)

I felt jealous, angry, but most of all, I felt sad. I could never compete with her. She's much prettier, plus, a waitress. Guys always love waitresses.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sean asked, sipping his drink. "Nothing," I said a little too quickly.

"You're a terrible liar, Skie Lachowski."

"I'm not lying, I'm fine, okay?"

He shook his head 'okay' but in reality, I knew that he knew that I wasn't okay.
