Skies POV

School was rather slow today, per-usual. I sat in my seat for English, staring at the teacher in boredom. Today, we're getting lots of vocabulary sheets and we have to have a book to write down the definition, and if it's a synonym or not.

I'm sorry if I'm boring you with my homework, I'm just trying to explain.

As I wrote down some definitions, I didn't realize that the bell had rung. "Skie, class is over," my teacher said, removing me from my abyss. "Oops," I said, grabbing my belongings and scurrying out of the classroom.

That was awkward.

"Skie!" I heard someone holler. I turned to see Lilly and smiled. "Lills!" I giggled, giving her a big bear hug.

"So... Details..." She said maniacally, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the restroom. She closed the door behind us, checking the stalls, then locked the door. Crossing her arms over her chest, looking down at me with a 'give me the details and now' look.

"Well, not much happened. We just got our drinks, talked a little, and then said our goodbyes," I explained with a shrug.

"I know you're lying to me, what happened or so help me unicorns!"

I laughed.

"Okay, Sean asked a waitress over and she took down our drinks, but not before checking out Sean. When she left, Sean and I nearly kissed, but she was already back with our drinks." Lilly squealed.

"OMG! My ship has started, I'm so happy!" She yipped, jumping up and down in glee. "Shh, there's more," I shushed.

Lilly shut her mouth and waited for me to speak.

"The waitress also gave Sean his number and I was jealous and I felt really sad too, but I don't think I was that sad."

Lilly glared at me.

"Skie!" She hissed, the whispered, "remember, you can't get depressed again. I nearly lost my best friend..."

I shook my head 'okay' then unlocked the door. "I know, I have the pills just in case," then walked out of the restroom, leaving her there.

My past is really touchy for me. I hated myself so much. You wouldn't believe how badly depressed I was. Scars are scattered all over my body, and I always stare at them, thinking about how ugly I am.

"Skie, why are you crying?" A calming voice asked, wiping away my fresh tears that were slipping down my cheeks. I looked up into these ocean blue eyes, smiling. Sean embraced me in a hug. "Everything's gonna be alright, Angel." I smiled at the new nickname. Sniffling, I wiped away the rest of tears and sighed. "Yeah... I know."

But I actually don't know. There's going to be ups and downs, usually I bet the upside, but now.. It's starting to become the down.
