Alice's POV

"Come on Alice cheer up Pennsylvania is just as good as  California...in a way." My mother tried convincing me as the plane finally landed.  The only reason why she even tried convincing me is because her boyfriend Adam was here. That was probably the only good part of it. To her at least.

Walking through  the walk way to the main lobby ,my mom squealed loud enough to hear it through my ear buds. I rolled my eyes as she ran to Adam and hugged him.  I walked up to them kissing and hugging. Can't blame them I mean they did meet on the internet and have been making it possible for a year now.

"You must be Alice" he gasped as I removed one ear bud.

All of our shit was already at his house and my mom told him how to set all of her stuff up but I told her to make sure he didn't touch ANY of my stuff.

The car ride wasn't that long Adam lived about twenty minutes from the airport. He kept talking about all the hang out places were in Scranton but here's the thing....I got no friends to hang out with. I start school tomorrow but I'm sure that's gonna be worse then school in California.

We pulled up to a small house, exiting the car I got my back pack and followed Adam and my mom. When we got in the house I threw my back pack on the couch and sat next to it. "Alice, your stuff is upstairs in the room on the right" he laughed before pulling my mom to his side. I walked up the stairs to the room on the right to see a light blue colored wall room.  All of my stuff sat on the already made bed. I went through my things planning where to put them. I went ahead and started putting my cloths in the drawers ."Hey" said an unfamiliar voice. I turned to see a boy with dirty blonde hair leaning on the doorway."uh hi" I said not making eye contact."I'm josh you must be my future step sis" he laughed . "Alice " I said as he approached me looking at my things."see you have great taste in music" he smiled looking at my AFI shirt. I didn't say anything just continued placing my cloths  in the drawers. "I'll help at school tomorrow we have two classes together" he said as I felt him looking at me. "Uh you don't talk much do you?" He chuckled noticing me not responding. "Mhm" I responded before he came next to me."if  you need anything I'm next door" he sighed before leaving the room.

Josh was being nice, a little too nice.
