Chapter 2

Jack's POV

I'm usually fine on areoplanes...
Not today, oh no, my luck went from bad to worse in the first 10 seconds! Not only was I in economy, which is like traveling with the cattle but I was placed in between two extremely large guys and they would not stop looking down my shirt! For 3 hours I had to listen to them babble on about some anime super hero that quite frankly sounded like an asshole to me and unfortunately for me this ride was far from over. That is when I couldn't take it any longer and I may have lost my temper just a little bit...

"You pathetic fat pedophiles! Could you please stop looking down my shirt or I will sue you for sexual harassment and boy I WILL win, also could you please have some consideration for other people and give me some room to move!" It was strange how a whisper could be perceived as a shout, it sounds like a shouting whisper but I didn't want to draw to much attention to myself.

"Looks like somebody is on her period." One of them whispered, boyishly giggling in the process, while the other just stared at me like I was an alien or something. The staff had started making their way towards us but there was still enough time for me to give him a beautiful shiner and that would also mean they would make me leave.

"Is there a problem?" One of the stewardesses asked sweetly.

That's when I burst into tears, drama classes had their uses sometimes, "I'm so sorry but they were saying such horrible things to me and he tried to touch me so I hit him, it was a complete accident, I'm so sorry."
Oscar Awards are coming my way.
I'd like to thank my manager, also known as myself, for her brilliance.

"Oh sweetie, come here, we do have another spare seat because one of our passengers cancelled, it's in first class. Would you like that?"

"First class! Really?!" Oh my acting was so handy. I looked like a girl meeting a celebrity, if only they knew.
The stewardess gave the men one of the coldest looks I have ever seen. "You should be ASHAMED of yourselves." She emphasised 'ashamed' for effect, it worked, the men dropped their heads in shame and as she turned around I had just enough time to wink at the now shame filled faces of my two 'abusers' as well as the proud faces some of the passengers that had over heard my little performance.

First class was, well, first class, I had room, nice food, champagne glasses and men in black suits with sunglasses. I was in heaven. No one was bothering me and I finally was able to get some sleep. That's when I had the weirdest dream, I was running, I couldn't stop and a verse constantly replayed in my head.
Run.
Run faster.
Because if you don't, you'll be sorry.
You will also be one of them.
Run.
Run faster.
They're gaining on you deary.
You don't want to be one of them.
I wake with heavy breathing and ready to run, only to find I was in the plane and no one had taken notice of my sudden outburst. We were landing. I was in America. Unfortunately, I had no idea where in America I was going and I doubted that it would be somewhere fun like New York or L.A.
I was walking towards the exit when I realized all my things were still in with the cattle.

"Are my things still in economy?" I asked in the politest voice I could muster.

"No dear, it's been carried up here." The stewardess smiled as she said it, it seemed rehearsed, I knew how that felt and I became to appreciate the work that the stewardesses do. Personally, I would kill anyone who was rude to me or anyone else for that matter.

"Thank you so much, I..."

"Ms Rhyns?! I have been looking for you everywhere! How are we supposed to be on time if you are wondering around the plane, dilly-dallying with the staff?!" The elderly woman was clearly respected at her home because her head was higher than everyone else's present.

"Er..." Was all I could get out before she was dragging me out of the plane towards arrivals. "How did you get down here? I thought..."

"One, do not think if that is the face you pull when you do and two, do not ever question me again. I will let you off because you are new, but if you ever question me again you will be sorry." She didn't shout, she didn't even raise her voice but she could have. I had never been threatened before but I know what it feels like now, to have absolute fear of someone and she is an old lady!
I am cleared and free, well almost.
As the hag, her name given by me, seen as she wouldn't tell me her real one, led me to the car, a shining black limo and she smiled at the clear disbelief on my face.

"Only the best go to Prinston, my dear, only the best." She paused as if to give an effect. "We have a long drive so make yourself comfortable, I will be in the front with the driver." As I got into the car, the leather seats stuck to my legs and the slight smell of cigarette smoke made me gag. There was no way I was going to be comfortable. There was no way I was going to be happy in Prinston, I really felt like I was heading for my doom.
This was the start of a long year.
