Chapter 6

I am awakened to the sound of the door. I didn't even realize I had slept. That nice guard who I had taken advantage of walked in. He didn't look happy to see me. "You!" he said angrily, "Did you realize what you did to me? I was trying to make your stay here better for you. You almost go me killed for screwing up." All I could muster was, "I'm sorry that I didn't like it here. I didn't really appreciate getting my head cut open and my brain copied over into a data base." "I had felt bad for you, but now I don't. I believe you deserve what you have coming to you. If I was in charge you would be getting tortured until you do what we say. You would be being re-programmed," he said yelling at me, "It is a good thing though that you fell into my trap I set. I shape shifted as your uncle while my sister shape shifted as your sister. We hacked your uncle's email and solved the equation. Then we fooled you. As soon as I left I gave the confirmation that we found you." I wanted to say something, but I couldn't. I couldn't even process through the information.

I have never been so scared in my life. I am just glad that my sister is ok, that they never found her or my uncle. I stared at the guard who had once been nice to me but now wishes for my demise. I don't know what to do. I'm just so scared I can't even think straight, all I can do is shake at the possibilities of what he could do to me.

"You jerk; all I ever wanted was to be left alone. I never asked for this. Kill me if you must but first remember this, When I had gotten home I had felt bad for taking advantage of you," I said. He walked over to the controls for the bed and made the bed stand up like the walls. Then he pulled out a knife and placed it against my neck. Panic started to really sink in now. I didn't know what he was going to do. He could easily take advantage of me; I am already at a disadvantage.

Before he could even do anything the door opened and two guards walked in and dragged this guard out. Then a doctor appeared in the doorway. This time it was a different one. "So sorry about that my dear. Lennox is one to hold grudges," the doctor said, "I guess today is your lucky day, other than Lennox, you are getting let go. Unfortunately we do not have lawful ability to hold you here and do anything to you without government authorization." "What about my brain being saved to a data base?" I asked. "That was the only thing we were allowed to do. Lennox was the one who did this and brought you back. But he is now under military eye and does not have any authorization now to leave the premises," The doctor said, 'Your free to go." "Is this some kind of joke?" I asked. "No Athena not a joke, not even a set up."

They ushered me to an elevator and brought me back to the other elevator. We walked out into the parking garage. Then they brought me to the top floor of the parking garage, as a helicopter was coming in for landing. Two people wearing reflector vests and two guiding lights guided the helicopter in for the landing. As soon as the helicopter landed, they ducked me down and rushed me over to the helicopter and inside. As soon as I was in they closed the doors and the helicopter lifted off into the air. They flew me over to a Walmart parking lot and landed. There was some ground crew waiting for us. As soon as we landed they went running while bent over and opened the doors and pulled me out and away to safety.

As soon as they got me to safety they called for the bulletproof car. But before the vehicle was dispatched an explosion happened a hundred feet away followed by gunfire headed in our direction. The ground troops started firing back. There was an object thrown toward us. It landed on the ground near us. "Grenade!" one of the troops yelled. An explosion shook the ground as everyone jumped away from it. Another one was thrown and it blew up the helicopter. I had no idea what was going on, or why. One of the troops picked me up and started running toward the Walmart. More gun fire erupted from all around.

We got to the door and he told me to run toward the technology area because they wouldn't expect me to be there. As soon as he sat me down he turned and started running back to help fight. As soon as he got far enough away from the building he was shot several times around. I screamed as he fell to the ground. I turned around and ran into the building as fast as my little legs would take me. I could hear the sound of helicopters, three of them, headed toward the scene full speed. They started firing there big heavy duty guns at the shooters. I could hear tons of sirens headed toward the scene as police and military vehicles came speeding toward the scene. Eventually the fire department and the paramedics started arriving.

I ran to the back of the store and started crying against a wall. Eventually some firemen walked in and found me. They picked me up and took me over to the bullet proof car. The car took off toward my house with several other vehicles following behind. It was going to be a very long ride back home, several hours at least. I passed out in the car from all the scary thoughts.
