Alaska was passed out on the floor, next to a bowl with cereal in it. "Must've gotten hungry," I whisper to The Colonel as I pick Alaska up and walk her over to the bed and laying her down. The colonel smirks and sits down across the room in a chair," She's actually kind of peaceful when she's sleeping."
"It's the only time she is," I say trailing off and sit down next to him.
"You really love her huh?" He smiles staring out the window. "Yeah I do..," I sigh softly snd look at Alaska. "You gonna buy her a ring?"
"I think so."
"Do it soon, she's been talking to me."
"Oh yeah? What does she say?"
"She tells me you're the best thing to ever happen to her, that if you proposed next week she'd say yes."
I smile, my face lighting up a little. "She really said that?"
"Of course."
I nod, the colonel gets up and leaves before I get in bed with Alaska and bury my face in her massive chest.
