Chapter 3

*Author's P.O.V*

Niall sat in his cage looking at Lou and Ed preparing the needles. They had at least 17 already lined up and ready to stab into someone's skin. Niall held his stomach as it started to growl which brought the two scientists attention. Niall backed away into his cage as Lou crouched down in front of his cage with a smirk. He opened it and held out his hand for Ed to pass him something. Once he was handed the item, he threw it in the cage before slamming it shut. Niall looked at the small chicken leg causing his mouth to water. He instantly grabbed it and started to bite away at it with a satisfied moan. Less than five minutes he was finished but his stomach still growled for more. He whimpered out for some more but Ed and Lou ignored him.

"If you don't feed me more then I'll die and you wouldn't be able to know how to make more people like me." Niall said he knew what he was saying was stupid but he didn't want to die from starvation.

"Fine. Ed go get him some more chicken." Lou said while filling up another needle with some liquid.

Niall woke up with a pout on his face from that terrible memory. He got out of bed with a yawn and his eyes half way open. He walked into his bathroom and started to brush his teeth. He noticed that they were starting to get sharp again which made him sigh. After he was finished brushing his teeth, he grabbed the teeth filer and started to carve his teeth round. He had to do this at least five times a month and it was very annoying. Once he was finished, he went back to his bedroom and started to get ready for work. He made sure he had everything before leaving his house with a apple in his hand. It didn't take long for him to make it to work while finishing off his apple. He threw the apple in the trash bin when he walked inside.

He saw Louis handing a old man a bag that definitely smelt like fresh cookies. Niall went to go clock in then slipped on his apron. He felt a pat on his back and turned around to see a smiling Louis. He hugged Louis then headed over to the back hearing the timer going off. He grabbed oven mitts and took the donuts out of the oven. He sat them down neatly on a plate then sat them in the display case. He took off the mitts and grabbed the frosting tub to frost the cookies his boss sat by him. He was in the middle of making smiley faces and flowers when he heard loud laughter. He looked over his shoulder and his body stood still as he watched Harry walk in with his friends. They were smiling and playing around with each other. Niall gasped when he looked down to see he squeezed too much frosting on the cookie.

"Niall, take care of them for me. I have to take a quick leak." Louis said and was off to the bathroom while Niall's eyes grew wide.

"What can I get you guys today?" Niall asked with nervousness dripping with every word once he was at the counter.

"We'll take three chocolate chip cookies, three glazed donuts, and a slice of sweet potato pie." A tall brown eyed guy said as he dug in his wallet.

"Babe, you really don't have to pay for all of us." Jane said as she tried to put Liam's wallet away but he shook his head with chuckle.

"Let Liam pay. More money can stay in my pocket." Harry said and patted his pocket while he was on his phone.

"Oh hey there Niall." Jane said when she got to look at Niall's pale face as he took the money from Liam and gave him some money back.

"Hi Jane." Niall said trying his very best to keep his voice as strong as possible and was proud when he did.

Harry looked up and a bright smile came up on his face seeing Niall. He was about to say something but Louis came back and Niall quickly switched places with him. Niall stayed in the back the whole time not coming out for nothing. He was just so scared because he really doesn't know how to talk to the person he likes. He bit at his nails after he finished frosting his last cake. He went off to the bathroom feeling that if he splashed water in his face he would feel better. He entered the clean bathroom then headed over to the sink. He turned on the cold water and cupped his hands under the faucet. He leaned his face down then threw the water onto his face. His instinct was to jump away and hiss but he reframed from it as best as he could. He looked into the mirror and took off his beanie letting his ears stand up.

He talked himself into calming down and smiled when he felt relaxed. He rubbed his ears and he started to purr quietly with his tail trying to wiggle out of his sweatpants. He closed his eyes and completely zoned out his purring getting louder with each passing second. He didn't hear the bathroom door open and his brother walk in on his phone. He put his phone away and looked causing a gasp to leave his mouth. Niall's head snapped to the door and a horrified look came up on his face. His world was crumbling in his eyes as he looked away from his brother. He knew that his brother was going to take pictures then beat him into a puddle. He put on his beanie and took steps back while his brother moved forward. Niall held up his hand making his brother stop walking with his mouth still open.

"Greg, please don't tell anyone about this. Not even mom can know about this." Niall said and Greg nodded his head instantly.

"Can I touch them please?" Greg asked as he pointed to Niall's beanie while Niall took in a deep breath then took off his beanie.

"I have a tail too." Niall said as his brother came up to him and rubbed his ears gently causing him to pur.

"So this is why you stayed in your room when you came home from dad's lab that day." Greg said and Niall nodded his head and bit his bottom lip."This is truly amazing Niall."

"Whatever you came here to say wait and tell me when I get off work." Niall said as he put back on his beanie and left the bathroom quickly not wanting anyone to suspect something.

Well looks like his brother found out about him. His memories is coming back to him which is sad. Don't worry though I won't make Niall suffer as much right now. You will be getting fluff and humor for a while before drama and action start to kick in.
