Dino

I slammed my door shut huffing in frustration. I slide down my door and put my head in my hands. My brother and I, we're always tight with no space but today I can feel the wedge forming between us. His fear of the outside and my interest will be the end of us. As much as I love him sometimes I feel he hasn't changed since the day mom died while I've grown and aged beyond his years.

I sighed again looking around my dark room. The only light coming from under the door and from the curtains. The longer I stared the more I regretted being rude to my brother. It's just hard dealing with him when he doesn't understand my need for human interaction.

I stood from the ground turning on the lights in the process, one goal in mind, finding a way to sneak out.  If he isn't going to hand it to me I'll take it. I turned the lock on my door and smirked to myself, this should be fun.

I searched my closet looking for anything dance worthy. I've never been to a real dance studio before but sometimes when jeonghan wasn't around I'd watch dance tutorials so I know somewhat of the style. I grabbed a black tee from my closet and dark grey joggers, one thing I love about jeonghan is his endless style and his need to buy nice clothing. I frowned thinking of him. Stupid overprotective butt head. I shook my head in disgust and threw my clothes on the bed. I stripped from my clothes and dressed in the baggy outfit I'd chosen. Then slipped on black yeezys, like I said my brother spoils me. When I was dressed I walked toward the window trying to see how far the drop is but I already knew I couldn't jump down. There was know way I could sneak out through the front door because knowing my oh so scheduled out brother he'd be cooking in the kitchen at this time.

" well crap, what am I going to d-" I stopped hearing footsteps coming toward my door followed by a light tapping.

" Dino I know your still mad at me but I made your favorite tonight." He paused waiting for me to answer but I refused. I heard his loud sigh through the door,"well since your not talking to me I thought I'd just let you know that I'll be going out tonight so I can work the late shift, I probably won't be home for a few hours so that should be plenty of time to cool off, I love you little bro."

I gripped my arm to keep myself from running out and apologizing. It'd be a routine between us, me getting mad and him guilting me into an apology but I can't let it continue. He's wrong to hold me hostage. I stood still waiting for jeonghan to leave but neither of us moved an inch. I won't give into him like usual I am going out tonight whether he likes it or not, and he's only making it easier for me.

Finally after several minutes I heard the floor by my door squeak and jeonghans footsteps back down the hall. I sighed in relief for holding back long enough for him to leave. I watched out my window as my brother pulled out the driveway and sped down the street. The farther he got the more excitement built in my stomach. I was going to a dance class, an actual dance class! I dashed down the stairs grabbing a thin jacket from the rack and ran out the apartment. I raced down the pavement before turning around quickly to retrieve the spare key from under the mat. On the side of the house stood my old rusted bike from the 4th grade standing proud and tall. I wiped a fake tear from my eye and smiled.
