Chapter 18

"Hey you" SoRa said when she saw you walked in.

"Hey" you said, sitting down in the empty spot next to Sehun. You were not able to sit comfortably because of how quiet it was and the thick awkward atmosphere didn't help either. SoRa looked around a and noticed how everyone was acting, so she cleared her throat.

"So, uhm where were you at all this time?" she asked

"Oh, I was with the queen."

"Aaaaand?" SoRa said leaning forward with a smile on her face. You rolled your eyes and smiled.

"She just told me a story that's all"

"A story?" Sehun said

"Yup"

"What kind of story?" SoRa asked

"Just, a personal story."

"Oooooh ok ok" SoRa said and then it got quiet again. 

"How personal of a story?" she spoke up again

"Kim SoRa" you said glancing at her. She raised both her hands up in surrender.

"So princess, starting your training again tomorrow?" Kai asked

"Yeah I actually wanted to learn a bit about the lightning" you said and glanced at Chen "Does that sound alright?" you asked him.

"Sounds great I look forward to it" he said with a smile. Once again silence filled the room, your thoughts were all over the place and before you knew what you were doing your mouth opened.

"I'm sorry" you said and everyone looked your way. You quickly averted their gaze and looked down and started fiddling with your fingers. They all seemed confused and a bit taken back. You let out the breath you had been holding and stopped fiddling becoming serious.

"Really, I'm sorry for everything"

"You don't have to apologize princess" Lay said

"But I do" you looked at him and then at the others. "My actions haven't been the best since I got here. I had no intentions of making friends with you guys or just getting to know you at all other than small talk. Honestly the moment I heard about this I hated it, I hated my parents, the queen, you guys, this planet, I didn't want any of this at all. I just hated all of it and everyone involved in this." Their faces became grim and serious, some of them looking at you as you spoke while others looked down and just listened.

"But I wasn't thinking. I was only thinking about myself and my feelings and disregarded everyone else. I didn't put any thought in the situation and why it happened the way it did. You guys are on the same boat as I am. You left your homes for this, you all have your own reasons for being here and I didn't think about your feelings. Also with my parents and the queen, I thought of no one but my self and that was very selfish of me. I came here pouting and whining about all of this and not once did I think "I wonder how they feel about this?" "Do they want to even be here?" Not once, and I am SO sorry. You are all so wonderful, I truly enjoy spending time with you guys and I've gotten quite close to a few of you and even those I'm not too close with, I'm just comfortable being around you guys, you guys are truly great. All of you. I feel like I should be saying more than just "I'm sorry" but, I...I REALLY am sorry." you finished with softly with your voice cracking. You quickly wiped away a tear that had fallen and composed yourself again

"Hyebin" SoRa looked at you with a sad expression.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking, after what Xiumin told me early this morning and now with what the queen added on. I'm going to do this." you looked up at them "I will. No more whining, no more throwing tantrums, or crying, complaining, acting like a spoiled child. None of that. I will give it my all, try my hardest and do my best with everything. I will become the most graceful and respected princess, and once I ascend the thrown I will be the best god damn queen you ever had." With that last comment a few of them laughed while others just had smiles on their faces.
