Journey Home is a collection of poems that is a personal search for my spiritual home. I go about this search with the tools of poetry, using the English language as my map. If what we see is all there is, then this life is cruelty; but if there is more, then this life is an adventure of self-discovery. The writer finds his or herself in their words; they know there is more to the world than what is observed, so they delve into their imagination and create their world. They wish to find their home. What we know about history is from the writer; the epic, the legends, and the self-discoveries are just the tip of the iceberg of how words give us a collective memory of our species. I could go into the history of storytelling from the times of cavemen to now, but that is not what this book is about. This collection of poems is my journal of discovery, using my mind to forge a trace. I use a variety of styles to cut this path, and I hope you enjoy the journey.
