BTS Jungkook: My Beast

Part 24: Drowning

Your hand slips, your loose your balance, and in a half of a second you are falling into the stream beneath you.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

*SPLASH!*

You feel the water swallow you slowly down. It's dark and cold, and you barely got time to catch air before falling into the stream.

Soon you notice that your heavy backbag is tied around you and pulling you beneath the water even faster. While trying to reach the surface, you are panicking. After many hopeless tries, you can't get your backbag off, and slowly, the picture in front you starts to fade away as the coldness takes over you...

Then, you feel a powerful pull behind you. Someone pulled you towards the surface from your backbag just when you were about to lose your consciousness.

Right away after getting above the surface, you spit out all the water you've got into your lungs and try your best to breathe, but it seems to be very hard.

After fumbling around, you feel some wet fur and grab it tight.

» It must be Jungkook's fur...»

Soon you feel hard ground beneath you once again and sigh in relief in your mind. But the problems aren't over yet. You try to catch up some air but there still seems to be some water in your lungs which makes breathing harder and harder, breath by breath. As you slowly open up your eyes, you see light brown wolf's fur and Jungkook's face looking at you. You are still coughing, and barely breathing. And under a minute, you loose your consciousness.

*Jungkoook's pov*

After seeing y/n falling into the stream, I jump right away after her. It takes me a while to find her -even though the stream isn't very deep- and think where I could grab her without hurting her. Then I find her backbag, and take a good hold on it and start to pull her back to the shore.

She's barely breathing and now I frantically try to figure out a good solution.

» Why, why didn't I study more about healing from Lucy! What am I gonna do now!??»

Then Lucy pops up into my head, she can help!

I bend down on the ground and softly pull y/n onto my back from her backbag. Then I adjust her there well so she won't fall, and start to run towards the camp like a whirlwind.

»Lucy has said that her herbs and skills are only in the clan's use but... I think she should make an exception now since this is an emergency!»

As I reach the spread, my mates have already sensed my hurry and fear and some of them have come to meet me.

Aron: What is it Jungkook?

Hansol: Yeah, what makes you so worried that even a mouse could smell it from kilometers away?

Aron gives Hansol a scolding look, but I don't have time to punish him from talking like that to his hung. I have more important things right now.

Others don't seem to notice small and unconscious y/n on my back, and I turn to point her out.

Aron gasps and shouts "L hyung! We need Lucy noona!"

L answers from the door "She's not here! She's hunting!"

From inside, I start to panic and feel my pulse increasing. If Lucy isn't here...

L runs to us and asks "What is it? Why do we need Lucy noona?"

And as L notices y/n, he also gasps and starts to panic.

Aron: And Yongguk hyung is hunting also?!

L: I'm afraid so...

Luckily, Aron takes the lead and orders L to call for Yongguk and Lucy. Then he takes y/n in his arms and I transform.

Aron: Go to search for Lucy. I try to do my best to get y/n at least awake, she's still hardly breathing.

Jungkook: I'm not leaving.

Aron: That's an order!

I feel bitter but bow in agreement and transform again and run off to the forest.

As I run around and howl many times, I smell the scent of Lucy nearby. She must have passed from here a while ago. I start to follow her way and notice that it's leading back towards the camp. Now L's scent comes in also, he must have found her first.

I find my way back to the camp, and see no one around te spread.

» They are probably inside.»

As I transform, I can hear Yongguk's voice from the house.

Yongguk: Where is Jungkook? What happened to them? Does anyone know WHY is y/n in that state??

For the first time, I hear him being worried of me or y/n. Maybe he has changed a bit.. Okay I've got no time to think about that now!

Right away when I get in, Yongguk approaches me and asks "Did they attack? What happened?"

Jungkook "No-"

I get cut off by L who comes back from Lucy's room and says "Y/n is in good hands but... Even Lucy isn't sure can her herbs help humans since them are ment for wolves."

Yongguk: Say no more. You just make Jungkook even more nervous for nothing. She will surely survive... Continue Jungkook.

Jungkook: I... Um... I think that... I need a little break...

And with those words, I excuse myself and go up to my own room.

Aah, I managed to get a computer for myself so now FINALLY I can continue this story here. Much easier now. :D
