"Hey, this kid..." Lavi was already sitting next to the brunette, interrupted their conversation and started asking, "doesn't this kid look familiar to any of you?"
The three, turned around and looked at Lavi, replying with a "What?"
Allen stood there, staring nervously at the Bookman Jr. 'Darn it,' he thought, 'I let my guard down! I shouldn't have let him get close! Oh no, am I already late?! Does he already realize?'
"Well, I wouldn't know, Lavi. You think you've seen him somewhere?" asked Lenalee, eyes wide-open with both curiosity and surprise.
"Well, he looks waaaaaay too familiar to me, as if I've known him for a long time..." Lavi said in a singsong voice, tilting his head, slightly confused.
Allen was smiling{mask; aka, poker-face}, his usual gear for when something unexpected happens, or, he must pretend [in order to hide the-] (I mean, er, never mind.)
"Lavi, I don't think it's that you know the boy, but that you've taken a liking to him already and feel like he's someone close to you already," Allen explains.Lavi looks questionably at the whitette. "Hm.. well, perhaps you're right, Allen. Maybe I shouldn't try to pay too much attention to that thought, after all," he says.
Then, there comes an unfamiliar creaking noise from the bed, which takes up everyone's attention, all four turning around and looking towards where the noise came from.
There, the small brunette sat, staring -almost glaring- at the four grown-ups. Soon, he started to frantically look around the room, unfamiliar with everything. He suddenly shot up from the bed, blanket falling off, revealing his ar-
His arm, just about to be recognized by all the people in that room, was swiftly wrapped up in a blanket by the hand of another boy.
The surprised brunette shot daggers at Allen, ready to fight him as he quickly identified him as a danger. "What are you doing?!" he shouted, with a very distinctive, strong British accent.
"Do you want them to see your arm?" Allen asked the young boy, but in a way as if he already knew the answer to the question.
The boy looks at him, surprised once again, but staying quiet.
"..O..kay! What just happened?" Lavi asked Lenalee, whispering to her. Although he did not get an answer back.
"Where am I? Who tha 'ell are you people?!" the little brunette says, taking the blanket from Allen's hands and covering his whole body with it.
"We're from the black order, an organization which protects human kind by destroying weapons called 'demons'{akuma}. You are in one of our headquarters, and this is the nursing room," Lenalee explains, observing the boy carefully while doing so.
He looked at her with unamused eyes, thinking,'What the- Another occult group caught me again, great.' "But why am I here?" he asks.
"When we were on a mission, we found you lying on the ground, covered in blood. We brought you with us to help you recover," Lavi said.
"Well then, I'm fine now, so can I go?" the boy says.
"No, you are not fine; you still have broken bones and ripped muscles. You need to stay for more care," says the head nurse. Lavi and Lenalee, upon hearing this, looks at the boy with even more concern.
"Well, I don't got any money to pay back," he starts, "or tha 'parents' to pay for me. If you were thinking of getting money from me, give up and just let me go earlier. At least you won't waste more meds on someone like me."
"What are you talking about? Someone like you? You mean some boy who's hurt severely and needs help or he'd be at the verge of death? In that case, you're wrong. You are worthy of the medicine that we use for you," says Lenalee, giving him a big smile.
"But who'd die from getting beaten?" says both the brunette and albino. Both surprised from saying the same thing, looks at each other.
