The two boys looked at each other, astonished that they said the exact same words, with same accent and tone (Allen said it more quietly though). However, the albino was surprised that he had said such a horrible thing (if said in his usual facade), he blocked his mouth with one hand and averted his eyes away from the others.
"Allen.. What are you.." Lenalee starts, clearly surprised (or confused) at the fact that the albino had said such a thing. The usual smiling, kind, gentlemanly Allen Walker would never- will never, say such a sentence.. and it was just.. Astonishing.
"S-Surely there was a misunderstanding or.. or.. it was misworded.. or.. It must be something like that, right, Allen?" Lavi says, carefully looking at him and trying to understand the situation.
"I-" the young teens' words were then blocked by an even younger voice.
"'ey now, I know we're having all this confusion crap going on, but I'd be very much thankful if you all just shut up and let me be on my way," says the brunette child with his sharp eyes, left arm covered and close to him, being pulled with the other arm as if it were a newborn baby that couldn't even flinch. With those words, he becomes the center of the attention now.
"And you!" the head nurse yells, ready to scold the little devil. But when she sees the trace of horror in the child's keen eyes, she speaks in a softer tone. "Where would you go, anyways?"
The child jumps off the bed, and looks up at the three adults. "I'll just get back to my cir-" the boy thinks a bit more before answering. "Orphanage. I'll go back to it as soon as I know where this place is," he says and walks over to the closest window he had found (because the way to the door was blocked by all the tall people).
"An orphanage, huh? Tell us where it is, we'll take you there. Plus, it'd be much more safer and comfortable going back with us," Lenalee says, walking over to the brunette.
"And why is tha'?" the brunette leers at the green haired female. He moves closer to the window, leans to look outside it. This is what he sees: An ocean, all throughout half the glass, sky crimson purple as the sun slowly eclipses down, hiding away into the horizon. When he gets closer to the window and sees what resides under the ocean, his heart jumps. There is nothing below the ocean; the ocean was beneath them, the building which the child stands inside built on something either of a cliff or a high island.
Shocked at the landscape, he jumps back, landing on the floor. Lenalee helps him get up, but the child rudely slaps her hand away."Now you know," says Lavi. "Alright-y kiddo, tell us where you live. Since you're so persistent on leaving even when we say we'd treat you till you get better, we'll take you back to your orphanage. The place must be so nice for being just an orphanage, it seems?" the ginger raises a brow.
The child stands up, turns to look at them, then frowns as he continues to stay silent.
The albino teen walks toward the child, making hand signals, waving it towards the older group to leave the room. They look back hesitantly, and Allen looks at them with uncompromising eyes. The crowd understands that the whittette will not back down (judging by his well-known stubbornness), so they decide to leave the room.
"What?" the brunette backs away, timidly.
"I think you well know what to tell me. It's alright, I promise I won't tell anything to the others. I won't let them send you. I know this place is much better than where you are currently living in. At the least, we won't beat you," Allen says, patting the child's shoulders.
He looks at the albino warily.
"...Yeah, I thought so. There's no way I'd believe anyone before I meet Allen, I guess," he puts his left arm in front of the child, and takes his glove off as he pulls his sleeve up. "I wonder if this would help you trust me," he smiles.
His wolf eyes opens wide into an owls', from the surprise. "Y-You're also- you 'ave the demon arm too?" the child asks.
Allen shakes his head. "I had it since I was young, like you. But you shouldn't call it demon arms! When you can finally use your arm, it will be the strongest weapon you'll ever gain," he puts his glove on, pulls the sleeves back down. "If you don't mind telling me, could you tell me how old you ar-.. how old you think you are? And the place that you are currently sheltering at."
He nods. "I'm probably like, six. I'm staying at um.." he tries to avoid the topic by telling a new information, "M' name is-" the Albino blocks and speaks for him.
"You are from a circus, and work as their luggage and cleanup boy. Isn't that right, Red?" he disappointingly looks at the child.
The child swiftly pulls a knife out of his pocket.
