No Longer M'lady? - Chapter 1 Rewritten

Chaos plagued the streets of Paris as a blur of red and black chased down a villain in the night. The blur in red sent her yoyo flying through the sky and it wrapped around the leg of their villain, she screamed as the villain continued to run and drag her across the streets of Paris.

“Sure that was a good idea, Ladybug?” The blur in black chuckled as he watched his partner in stopping crime get thrown around in the most ridiculous way.

Ladybug glared at him as she planted her feet firmly in the ground and wrapped the indestructible string of her yoyo around a lamppost stopping the villain in her tracks. She sent a smirk of triumph at the mischievous boy in a cat suit perched up on another lamppost. “You were saying kitty?”

He chuckled and shook his head before he joinned her on the ground. The villain turned around, enraged and began spewing nonsense at the two heros. “I am Cruella, leader of the dogs in all of Paris. My daddy said I can't have dogs because I'm allergic, look at me now. ” Cruella grinned at something behind them, they turned around to find a hoard of dogs running towards them.

“You take care of her pack of puppies while I find that Akuma!”Ladybug shouted glaring at the villain who watched them with glee.

“If you haven't noticed I'm a cat person, Ladybug! ”Although he protested he ran towards the dogs, his staff extended. “Good doggy. ”He wacked one on the head. “Nice puppy. ”He sent it flying backwards into the pool of dogs. “Play nice. ”He whirled the staff around making them fly away whining.

“Where's the Akuma Cruella? If you do this your dad will never let you have a dog, ever! Give it up!”Ladybug shouted trying to reason with the akumatised villain.

“How about you give up your Miraculous, Ladybug? Before my dogs make a meal out of your flea infested kitty cat?” It was no use, the villain wasn't giving up.

Just as the villain spoke Chat Noir went flying through the air, managing narrowly to land on his feet with his staff in hand. “Eh - Ladybug, hurry up! This cat doesn't have nine lives!”Chat Noir shouted as the dogs began to overwhelm him, he seemed to realise something and added, “Hey cats are very clean lady! It's your mutts that have fleas and probably -”He threw three dogs off him “-rabies!”

Ladybug had no other choice, she scanned the villain's costume and saw the faux dog ears on her head. There it is! She was too late in finding the akuma and Cruella managed to remove the string that wrapped around her leg and flee for it. Great job Ladybug! She chastised herself facepalming.

“Lucky charm!”She screamed, magic swirled around her as her special power began taking effect. A dog collar materialized from the red magic sparks in the air and landed in her hand. “What am I suppose to do with a dog collar, leash her?”She furrowed her eyebrows inspecting the collar.

“Anything fast before I become a doggy meal!”Chat Noir shouted from under the mountain of dogs forcing Ladybug to spring into action especially since Cruella was running back towards her, Dalmatians behind her. Ladybug inspected the area, the gears in her mind shifting. Black and red spots appeared on the objects that she needed to put her plan into action, she smirked watching Cruella with new eyes.

“Chat runs towards Cruella, I need a diversion!”She shouted spinning the collar around in the air.

“Sure, not like I'm busy getting attacked or anything!”He shouted back, sarcasm coating his words making Ladybug roll her eyes with a smile. He listened anyway managing to wriggle his way out of the heavy dogs, he used his staff and extended it in the air using it to catapult himself above the dogs and fling himself in the direction of Cruella, the dogs chomping at his heels. The dogs were the perfect diversion as a sea of puppies now covered Cruella's vision as Chat Noir ran past, the villains shouted and screamed which worked as the perfect distraction. As the dogs cleared she saw Ladybug but it was too late to retaliate, she was too close as she threw the collar at her knocking the faux ears off her head and wrapping around her to trap her in Ladybug's hold. Ladybug picked up the ears to snap them in half, a dark purple butterfly flew out as the ears turned back to normal.

“No more evil doing for you little akuma, time to de-evillise!”She caught the akuma in her yoyo, it came out back to a pure white colour and she smiled before sending it off. “Bye bye little butterfly. ”The villain changed back into a cute little girl who is sobbing, she took back her lucky charm and threw it in the air. “Miraculous Ladybug!”

The lucky charms disappeared and  became magic that fixed all the damage done by the akumatised villain, it put the dogs back in their homes and cages and helped everyone who was turned into a dog revert back to normal. Ladybug grinned at the newly fixed Paris, pride swelling up.

“Ladybug, I'm s-s-sorry. ”The little girl sobbed, she felt so guilty for fighting against her idol but Hawkmoth gave her no other choice. Ladybug felt her heart break a little and leaned down in front of the girl. “Hey it's okay, tell your dad that they're dogs that don't cause allergies and you'll have your doggy best friend. ”

The little girl nodded and ran to her parents, Ladybug's earrings beeped just as Chat Noir approached her with a lazy smirk. “Good job, Ladybug. Pound it!” They fist bumped as he grinned but she felt something twist in her gut as she faked a smile.

Chat Noir had stopped calling her cute little things like Bugaboo, M'lady and so on, he had resorted to calling her Ladybug like everyone else. She felt like she wasn't special anymore to him, sure he was a flirt but he was her flirt and a part of her missed that. She didn't understand the emotion as she tried to imagine who was getting all his cheesy jokes and flirty remarks, she had lost Adrien already and she felt like maybe she was losing her kitty too. She watched him leave with a heavy heart.

She was no longer his M'lady.
