I'm losing him, Tikki - Chapter 2 Rewritten

Ladybug transformed back when she was safely in her room, she threw her bag at the bed in frustration and groaned. A little red creature, her kwami, Tikki flew out of the bed a bit dizzy from being thrown.

“Marinette be careful, that almost hurt me, ”she said with big sad eyes making Marinette regret throwing her, she held her hands out and Tikki flew to them, taking a seat in the palm of her hands.

“I'm sorry Tikki, ”she apologized kissing the kwami on its forehead. Tikki watched her curiously seeing the growing worry in her eyes. “What seems to be the matter Marinette?”she asked with her own worry.

“Chat Noir, he's acting strange. ”She couldn't explain it, the feeling that she had was so weird. “He's acting like I'm not. ”She thought about it for a few seconds. “Me. ”She pouted when she finished, her blue eyes looking teary.

“Is he being mean to you?”Tikki inquired although she already knew what was bothering her friend and owner, she wanted her to figure it out on her own.

“What no of course not. ”She looked shocked when Tikki mentioned that, like she couldn't fathom a world where her kitty could ever be mean to her. “He's not calling M'lady anymore, it's like he doesn't. ”The word was on the tip of her tongue, she forced it out. “Like me anymore, I'm losing him Tikki.”

Tikki perked up, amusement written all over her little face. “So you're admitting he wasn't just being flirty? ”She held back a giggle. “That he really did like you?”

Marinette blushed when she realised what she had just said, her heart thumping excitedly in her chest with warmth that she didn't understand. “What? No!”She protested refusing to admit the truth that her heart knew.

“Yes you did, you did!”Tikki giggled watching her owner panic at her own emotions, it was so adorable to see her finally falling for the true character of Adrien Agreste. Of course Tikki knew who Chat Noir was, he had been Misterbug once hadn't he?

“Tikki! No!”She threw a pillow at her but Tikki dodged it and giggled enjoying the little game they had started, they argued and laughed until they finally went to sleep. Marinette closed her with the image of a cheeky smile from a certain masked cat, her cheeks warmed at her thoughts as she drifted off.

Adrien Agretse couldn't sleep. He stared at a picture of the heroine in the polka dot suit, her bluebell hair glistening in the light and her blue eyes bright with happiness. His voice beeped, a new notification, he sighed as he replied to his amazing girlfriend. Guilt ate away at him, why couldn't he love the amazing Kagami the way he loved someone who would never love him back. It was like the way he loved his father, no matter how much he tried the feelings weren't  reciprocated, that's how Ladybug's feelings were for him.

“You look glum. ”Plagg commented as he devoured a disgusting piece of camembert, Adrien wrinkled his noise at the piece of cheese, his kwami had disgusting eating habits.

“I love Kagami right?”he found himself asking, he couldn't believe he needed a second opinion on his love life but his mind was filled with mixed up thoughts.

“You're asking me?”Plagg replied, he was less than interested because he knew how the story would play out, he didn't need to push Adrien in the right direction especially since he wouldn't notice her in her in civilian life.

Adrien found himself laughing, of course Plagg wasn't interested, he was always bothering him with talks about Ladybug now that Kagami was involved he thought his kwami would end up deserting him. “Yeah whatever Plagg.”

He drifted off only thinking about Ladybug, he wished he wasn't being so unfair to Kagami but his heart wanted what it wanted.

Adrien had his head in the clouds when a certain classmate with bluebell eyes bumped into him, her hair was loose and she looked just as lost as he did. She looked up at him and he expected the familiar panicking reaction she always had in his presence but she only mumbled a quick sorry, no stutter and walked past him to go sit down.

He didn't understand why that bothered him so much.

Seems like both our heroes are having a bit of a dilemma. Any thoughts why?

I don't know about you but I'm loving the rewrite so far, it's a lot better than the original where the grammar was pre-school level and the interactions were forced.
