My body begins to regain it's sense and my heavy eyes begin to open slightly, but only for a second or two due to a blinding white light. I shut my eyes quickly and take a deep breath. I move my hand, only to feel something soft, something comforting. I open one eye and let it adjust to the light, and then slowly open the other.
I look up and see a roof of 12 white circle lights. I squeeze my eyes shut and things stay the same. I look to my left and then to my right, everything is a crisp, clean white. Everything from the walls of the room, to the couch on one side of the room.
Did I die?
Was I dead?
Am I dead?
I move my toes under the warm blanket my body is under. I turn my head and I see I'm in a bed.
Where am I?
I sit up and I rub my eyes that have now fully adjusted to the light. I take another deep breath, and I realize I feel good, I feel like I've slept for a thousand years. My body is healed, it feels revitalized. I look down at my arm and see cuts and bruises that are almost healed, but also a tube connected to it.
What the hell?
I follow the tube from my arm to a little machine by the bed.
What is this?
I pull the tube out of my arm, throwing it on the ground and I turn my body, taking my legs out from under the warm blankets so they are hanging off the edge of the bed. I notice too that I'm in different clothes. I'm no longer in my dirty clothes from before, but I'm in fact in a pair of crisp white leggings and a tank top.
How did I get these clothes?
I look down at the white square tiled floor. I slowly bring my feet to the ground. My toes touch the cold tile and they quickly spring back up. I put my feet on the floor again and I slowly stand up, feeling a little dizzy at first, but things go back to normal. How long was I asleep?
I walk around the room and examine it. There's a couch, a curtain thing in the corner, a couple tables, even a sink and toilet, which are all white of course.
I walk to the sink which has a mirror hung above on the wall. I look at myself and my brown hair feels clean and it's neatly brushed out, my face is clean of the dirt that was previously on it other than a few cuts that are just about healed, and oddly my mouth feels clean. I notice a bandage on my left shoulder. I take peel it back and see an arrow wound that's almost all healed as well. The memory of me getting shot with the arrow while out hunting replays in my head.
How is this possible?
Is this heaven?
Why is everything white?
How am I healed?
If I turn the tap on should I expect some holy water to come out instead?
No, it couldn't be because if I died I for sure would go to hell. And by the looks of it, I'm not there. I shake the weird thoughts out of my head and I look up and see small black dome thing hanging from the ceiling. I walk up to it and stare at it. It doesn't seem to do anything harmful. But what is it? I continue to stare at it until something catches my eye from outside the door.
I walk closer and I look through the small circle window and I see Monty! We make eye contact and I reach for the handle to open the door, but it's locked! "Monty!" I say in panic and hit the door with my hand.
I continue to try and open the door but the handle won't move. I'm locked in. I haven't seen Monty since I left to go hunting I think. I look back up and see that he's trying to open his door as well, but it looks like his door is locked too.
I look to the right down the hall slightly and I see a table by Montys door that has vials and bags of what looks to be blood! I see Monty turn his head to try and see what I'm looking at. I feel myself tense up, too shocked to move. But it's not vials and bags of blood on the table that causes my silence. It's the sign hanging above the table on the wall.
The sign that reads; Mount Weather Quarantine Ward.

A/N— Sorry this first chapter is SUPER short. It's like the intro ish I guess. It's basically still from Season One so. I don't know, but next chapter will be the "normal" length and all so don't worry. I hope you like the second book so far! Thank you for continuing to read my series! I hope you choose to keep reading! :)
