Purpose

The solid metal was again put on my wrist which were called 'cuffs'. We head out of this building with no one making eye contact with these guys. They wore pitch black cloaks with their hoods up casting a shadow over their eyes. Now that I notice this they are really creepy but not much scary to me. We walked further into the tall buildings that were streching high into the sky. The atmosphere here is very....dark and cold. Like dullness was covering all over the place like a blanket.

I was directed to a white building structure. It kind of looks like the picture I found on human beings. They had a system to capture a person who had disobeyed the rules and force them to commit to their crimes. Then get locked away into a big, grey building with the others who did wrong. I've read it and man do they come up with weird stories about us. Even about vampires too. Those doors were huge red wooden doors. Two of the cloaked vamps pushed open the door like it was nothing.

The inside was just a very long, red hallway. It had a red long rug that went into an opening at the end of the hall. There was also giant pictures of men on the wall in all white. Except for the one man in the middle wearing all black. We walked on down the hallway for who knows how long. A dim lighted hall with an echo of footsteps. Clop, clop, clop.

Finally we reach the end of the hall to the very brightened room. I squint letting my eyes adjust to the obnoxious lighting. Why do they need so much light in here? If it were even more bright it would shine from the underworld. Once my eyes were back from having a seizure. I examine the vamps and the things around me. To my right and left were vampires behind a wooden wall and sat on wooden chairs in rows. In front on me was six vampires in white siting in a row talking distinctively among themselves.

The one cloaked vamp yanked my cuffs backwards making jerk back too. He pulled down on my cuffs but I refused to go down. Forcing me to do so, he kicked the middle of my back leg making me fall to my knees. I instantly hear clinking of metal. When he is finished I glance back and see that I was chain to the floor. Well isn't that nice of them. One of the vampires in white clears their throat and everyone's little conversations are gone.

"We are gathered here today for the trial of Subject 263. From the documents given to me by the Messengers. This werewolf is the daughter of an Alpha of the Lycan Pack. Therefore, the 100,000 thousand gold coins claim goes to the founder, Hudson Reed", he looks over at the croud of vamps in regular clothes. I glance over too and spot a smiling vampire quietly celebrating to himself. He finds my eyes watching him and he waves. I glare at him in a death sentence way before looking away. Only if looks could kill.

"Mr. Reed, your earnings will be given to you after this trial. Anyway, continuing on with this wolf's occupation", he shuffled his papers. Founder? Are they serious? I'm not an item to be found lying around somewhere.

"Judging on this wolf's appearance and profile. Subject 263, could be good for three of our occupations. Cooking, Gardening, and cleaning. Does anyone have any other suggestions for this werewolf?" He gazes around the room. A person coughed loudly before everyone was silent. Wow. I'm useful for other things!

"Men of the White Rose, do we have any comments on today's trial before we move on to the next stage?" The man asks.

"Yes, I do, Otis", A man stands up,"Where is her guide?"

"You know Matthew is a very busy man, Frederick", Otis frowns at him,"And I want you to respect that"

"That wolf needs a superior to watch over her actions", He wrinkled his forehead,"It's his responsibility to watch over all the werewolves he is assigned to. Furthermore-"

The doors behind me bust open with everyone being startled. I struggle to look behind me due to being chained to the floor on my knees. Footsteps approach behind me slowly with people's eyes following. Matthew comes to my side with a straight face.

"I'm dearly sorry for being late to the trial of Mrs. Akira. I had another werewolf brought in to check in and register", Matthew pushed up his glasses. He looks very professional now that I think about it. Matthew always was professional when I met him.

"We accept your apology and are glad you made it for the decision of her purpose here", Otis smiles. Frederick sits down glaring at Matthew.

"Glad that I'm here as well", Matthew pats my head,"She has the tendency to blow a fuse when kept waiting. Though she has a ball of fire in those fiery brown eyes of hers"

I press my lips together to keep from saying anything smart. I wouldn't get so mad if you didn't keep me there most of the day. I don't want to be here anyway!

"She has three categories she can fit into. Cook, Gardener, or cleanser are the choices. All we have to do to finish up is to assign her to one of them", Otis updated him on what's going on now.

"Honestly, I think we should put her through all of them to test her talents", Matthew steps forward. The men talked to each other and peered over at me a few times. They straighten up in there chairs and Otis stood.

"The White Roses have come to a decision of going with Matthew Clarkson's idea. To put her through the three jobs to serve up as one of our maids here in Avalonia Empire", he hits the table with a wood hammer thing,"This trial is dismissed"

Everybody stands up and heads for the door to leave. Matthew turns around and hands me black dress shoes. They looked like the high heels I tossed off, but with no heels. At the same time the cloaked vamp that chained me took the chains off. The cuffs stayed on. I wish they didn't. They kind of hurt my wrist a lot.

"I figured you wanted something to wear other than heels", Matthew kneeled and took my foot. He put both of them on my feet like a princess in a fiary tale. He could be a great friend or resource for information about this place. I get up on my feet to eye level with him.

"Do you mind if I call you Matt?" I ask friendly. Matthew eyes rounded in suprise, but not so much.

"Call me what you want. It doesn't really matter to me", Matt walked past me. I followed him and grinned seeing how easy it was for me to be buddy-buddy with him.

"Matt it is then", I say, rushing to his side.
