We entered the castle again, but didn't go to the kitchen. Matt went to every floor, which this place is like a giants home. He even stopped and talked to people in the halls. Matt was in search of someone and I can tell this happens regularly to him. I go to his side and look up at him. He has this irritated slash anxious face. Suddenly it disappears as if he remembers where to go. That's weird before it looked like he was having a nervous breakdown. Now he has relief but more of an annoyed look to it. Matt goes to open a door but it had an actual door knob. His hand lays there and he glances over at me.

"What you're about to see is to be spoken to no one", he whispers in my ear. I nodded and hold my breath waiting for what was on the other side. He goes to open it slowly allowing some light shine through the creak of the door. Matt sticks his head in the door and so do I.

"Cassandra?" He called into the dark room. I hear scattering across the floor and hurry for my night vision to kick in. Matt walks in without nothing to fear and I huddle behind him holding onto his red coat like a child. I wouldn't hold onto him if I knew what was in this room. He took a step more into the darkness and I hear more scattering of feet.

"What did I tell you about the garbage disposal?" Matt turned on the light and shut the door. The light revealed a storage room with boxes and cleaning supplies. I see legs flailing sticking out of the wall and Matt rushed over to them.

"You can't escape through there! You'll be chopped up into little pieces!" He groused. Matt wrapped his arms around the torso and legs. With not much strength, he pulls the legs and reveal a girls body. She had dark, shoulder length, black hair and icy looking blue eyes. The girl kicked and swung her fist at Matt. I wanted to help him, but he didn't flinch. Every hit she made he just stood there holding her.

"Why should I trust you! You vamp scum!", she strike him again. This time she aimed for his glass and slapped them off his face breaking them. The girl, Cassandra, went stiff and so did I. I don't know why I did I just felt this creepy aurora around him now. It went away like flipping a switch and he just dropped her to the floor with a thump. Cassandra peered up at him with aware in her eyes.

"You don't have to trust me. It's all by choice, but I'm sure you can trust your own kind", Matt sighed,"I need you to teach Miss. Akira about cleansing of the castle"

She peered over at me before she stood up,"What's in it for me?", Cassandra crossed her arms. Matt pushed back his chocolate brown hair out of his eyes. I catch a glimpse of red flare up in his sapphire eyes.

"What do you want in return?" He retorted. She put her hand on her hip and glared at him.

"You know what I want", she scoffed.

"I can't give you freedom", Matt shook his head. Cassandra stomped her foot ready to scream out of anger.

"Then what can you give me?" She urgently asked. Matt stood there thinking tapping his index finger to his chin.

"Anything, but that", he says, bluntly,"You could do it out of the kindness of your heart. Which I know you have. That's up to you"

Matt reached into his coat pocket and took out another pair of glasses. He goes to the door and I start to follow. When the door opened he held up his hand as if telling me to stay. Matt put on his glasses and left the room. It was quiet Cassandra stared at the floor and I did too. She lifted her gaze to me and glares at me. What did I do?, I thought.

"Why do you let him call you that?" She asked in disgust.

"Call me what? Oh, you mean Miss. Akira", I say, realizing what she meant,"I don't know..."

"Doesn't it bother you?" She threw her arms up as she paced the floor. I shake my head no and she shook her head at me. Again, asking myself what did I do? She must have been here for a few days now because of her behavior. But, I'm not acting like that. That's why im on the down low so I'm not suspected to leave or escape.

"How long have you been here?" I ask, trying to make conversation. She stopped pacing and looked at me like I'm the crazy one.

"Five weeks, too long", she speaks. I clicked my feet together trying to make things not so....quiet.

"What pack are you from?" I kicked at the floor. She puts her back to the wall and slides down to the floor.

"Does it matter?" She held her head in her hands. This girl obviously looks like she is losing her mind and is going to give up. It's time to take the initiative and get her back on her feet.

"It does", I say boldly,"If you want me to trust you and help us get out of here together. You need to open up and tell me information I need to know because this isn't gonna work with you not believing in me"

Cassandra lifts her head and stares at me. Her eyes showing the piercing attitude and comprehension of my words. I walked over to her and offered her a hand. She took it and held on tight when she was up. She looks me right in the eyes with determination. Icy blue eyes freeze into my bronze eyes. A fresh, new friendship is made to escape this dreadful place. I wont give up until my last breath. I'll even look death in the eyes if I have to. It makes me wonder....

Does Tala, Jennete, and Bridget feel the same?
