Screaming. Darkness. White eyes. Blood. Bones crunching. The thumping of your heart in your ear......silence.
You weren't sure which was more painful at the time, the sounds of his screams, or the silence that followed.
Two years later and the memories stayed, haunting your dreams at any moment you dared to close your swollen, sleep deprived eyes.
However, the human body has to rest at some point, no matter how much you try.
So that's when the nightmares begin, bringing back the screams of agony and the silence that sealed the fate.
As of the moment you were trying to recover from one of your night terrors. The sheets clutched in your balled up fist as you tried your damn hardest to keep from making to much noise, or else you parents would come running to your aid.
Its not that you don't love them, its just you really don't want to go back to a therapist. The last one you had just gave up......like everyone else.
You have convinced yourself that its better off wallowing in your own sorrows than pushing them onto some other human to try and fix. Especially when that problem can never be fixed.
Once your breathing had calmed down it was time to wipe away the sweat on your forehead, a nightly routine that seemed to just be an instinct. Balls of toilet paper stuffing your trash can to the brim.
Ever since Vincent died you haven't been eating regularly, as of now you haven't eaten a single thing in a week. But you don't want to eat. Because every time you bite into something it either reminds you of the crunching of his bones or the squishy sound of sitting in his blood.
Quite appetizing, isn't it.
"I'm ok" you whispered, trying to collect your bearings and not make a sound at the same time.
Suddenly, your phone went off, most definitely carrying through the paper thin walls.
Quickly, you grabbed the device, switching over the green button to answer. "Hello" you asked, voice rough from crying and trying to keep the screams that almost escaped.
The other line make a scruffling sound, then a voice came through, deep and masculine. "Y/N, is that you!!" The man yelled, causing you to flinch back.
"Yes Mike. Who else would it be" you grumbled sarcastically, a little bit of happiness coming to your broken heart.
You haven't heard from the guys since you fell into depression, probably trying to give you some time to recover. But time doesn't heal all wounds.
His laughter boomed through the speaker, "Still have that spunk I see" he chuckled, then more crumpling came through the speaker.
"Y/N? How are you doing?" A new voice asked, popping up the question you were hoping they wouldn't ask.
Silently, you thought of a lie, something to keep the others from worrying about you. "I'm fine, boss" you replied with fake happiness, making you grit your teeth to keep a strained smile.
"That's good to hear!! So, I was wondering...if its not to early....would you like to work at our new establishment 'Fazbear's Fright', its not a pizzeria, just a horror attraction" he replied casually, as if nothing happened in the past.
A pain struck your chest, making you wince. The idea of working at another Fazbear establishment made you cringe, but also have a tiny sliver of hope.
Maybe if you were lucky, it would erase the bad memories.
"Okay, when do I start?" You asked, ignoring the sickening feeling in your empty stomach.
A surprised gasp came over the line, then the sound of someone clearing their throat following.
"I'll text you the details, see you in an hour!" He chirped, ending the call before you could protest.
An hour, you're not even close to ready.
Quickly, you ran to the bathroom, applying concealer to your face to hide the bags under your eyes and then eyes drops to get rid of the redness.
You looked in the mirror, surprised, you looked just like how you used to. Hopefully the others don't see through your facade.
After hiding the evidence of suffering, you ran to your closet, shuffling around for something to wear.
Finally, you decided on just plain jeans and a T-shirt. It's better to seem casual than put to much effort, or they'll get suspicious.
By the time you were ready the clock read '11:00'. You had exactly thirty minutes to get there or the boss would leave you to fend for yourself.
"Shit" you whispered, grabbing your mothers car keys before sprinting out the door. The cold night air making you shiver.
Just as you were ready to leave you remembered something, you didn't know where this place was.
Suddenly, your phone went off in your pocket, a text. It was from a private number, "Go straight past where the old location used to be and its on the left" you read aloud, pulling out the driveway.
The neighborhood changed a lot since you've been outside, the people across from you actually put up a fence to keep their dog in. Even the people next to you having a fence.
Those thoughts left when you pulled away, being replaced by ones of what was to come.
'What if they notice' 'What if they bring up what happened' 'What if......'.
Suddenly, a car pulled in front of you, quickly slamming on their brakes. Their tail lights glowing red to indicate what they did.
You screamed, swerving left to avoid the silver camaro that was stupidly braking in the middle of the road.
Before you could look back and curse them, something else caught your eye, the old location of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Where the building once stood was now a empty lot with trees nearby charred black by ash.
So the building really did burn down. Along with, Vincent.
Tears threatened to spill but you kept them in, avoiding the spot as much as you could as you drove by. Now looking to your left for the new building.
However, when you came around a bend, you didn't expect to see what you did.
Standing in a lot was the new establishment, but the building was far from new.
It looked like its been there for decades.
The paint is gone and vines trailed up the outside walls. The only thing new seeming to be the bright flashy sign.
You pulled into the parking lot.
"Here I go"
