Everything was cold. It felt as if all the blood in your veins had suddenly stopped, being pushed back into your heart, leaving you with a cold body but a tightened chest.
Images of white eyes flooded your brain repeatedly, each holding a familiar gaze that only made your chest tighten worse.
"Y/N" a voice called, in the distance of darkness you could see a figure, the main characteristic sticking out being those beautiful bright eyes. Without thinking you ran, your feet moving but your body staying still, the figure becoming further and further away. Tears streamed down your face as screams of loss and heartache filled the empty void, ones that you tried to hide behind closed doors.
"Please.." You begged, dropping to your knees as the figure disappeared into the abyss, silence following. Suddenly, a cold hand was placed upon your shoulder, a lulling voice bringing you to your senses with two chilling words.
"Wake Up"
Gasping, retching, heaving, sobbing, this is how you came back to the world, the cold now being pushed away as Summer night air invaded your lungs. The wind caressing your face gently as nausea faded and the depression settled.
You could have sworn the wind was speaking, a constant repeat of "You have to wake up" "Wake up" "Don't leave me". Pushing those thoughts away, you sat up on your elbows, concrete digging brutally into your now boney elbows from malnutrition. Three sets of eyes stared back at you, causing a great deal of a headache to crash into your skull.
Something was missing, you felt like you were forgetting something important, those eyes seemed to hold something significant.
"You okay Y/N, you were unconscious for a while?" The blue pair of eyes asked, causing your own eyes to snap forward abruptly. You simply nodded, ignoring the crusty feeling on your hands, if you didn't pay it any mind, it wouldn't bother you.
"What happened in there?" Hazel eyes asked, crouching down to make eye contact, giving you a curious gaze. Something slipped in your brain, who are these people and why are they in my face?.
"Who are you?" You whispered, dragging yourself away from the eyes growing wider as your words struck home. In fact, all three pairs widened, as if they knew something you didn't.
"What are you talking about Y/N, its us, Fritz, Mike, and Jeremy" Blue eyes croaked, eyes becoming glossy and lip beginning to tremble slightly.
"I'm sorry, I don't kn-" a searing pain shot up your spine, causing you to screech in pain, eyes rolling to the back of your head as your body began to seize on the ground. The voice from the darkness and the wind began to speak again, this time it was chanting, almost in a demonic way, each one telling you to 'Wake Up'.
Flames licked at your skin, ones that you could not see, but you could feel it boiling your insides, the pain was unbearable. Unconsciously, you began to claw at your own face, trying desperately to rip the ever growing sense of emptiness and wrongness from your body.
Something isn't right.
Wake up.
'My parents would never abandon me'.
Wake up.
Scars that once littered your wrist from before were no longer there.
Wake up.
That work uniform you pulled from the closet earlier wasn't yours, it was much bigger.
Wake up.
The blood patterns weren't even correct, the front of the uniform was clean, even though you had been cradling the dying man in your arms and you could feel the blood seeping through.
Wake up.
The blood was only on the back of the uniform, in the perfect shape of was a stabbing would look like.
Wake up now!.
How could it be two years already, it felt like the entire incident happened only a few months ago.
He needs you, wake up.
The suit was burned in the fire, how could it still be here, and in the same shape it was from before?.
WAKE UP.
Your entire body felt like it was on fire, the invisible flames now engulfing you in warmth, the coldness within receded and replaced it with overwhelming heat. You felt.......Alive again.
Screaming filled your head, it wasn't yours, it was of people you didn't recognize, was that beeping in the background?. Suddenly, your heart jolted, causing an electric kind of current to enter your body and throw you completely out of the darkness and away from the cold trying to creep its way towards the flames.
All your senses became heightened, your hands felt something soft being clutched between your fingers, your chest felt heavy and jittery, your nose picked up the smell of burning flesh and chemicals, and your eyes fluttered open slightly.
"She's awake!" A voice hollered, causing the heat to leave and be replaced by a more mundane feeling. Finally, you had managed to open your eyes fully, hissing as the brightness nearly caused you to seize up once again.
The beeping was louder now, instead of a background noise it was now all that filled your head. All you could see was white, however, this white wasn't that of Vincent's eyes, it was of something else.
"Y/N, can you hear me? you have just woken from a six month long coma" an unfamiliar voice called.
A coma?
The voice came back slightly, purring in your ear like a happy kitten.
You woke up.
