"Is it really you?" Vincent muttered into your hair, arms wrapped around you in a tight embrace. A simple nod was all you could manage from your spot on Vincent's chest, ear pressed against it with ease.

The steady beat of a heart you thought was long gone thumped behind warm flesh, chest heaving that was previously still. If it weren't for the smell of chemicals you would feel at home once more.

"I died Y/N" Vincent murmured, breathing becoming shaky as did his warm hands, "It was cold and lonely". Something wet and warm slid down your face, coming to a halt at the tip of your nose, falling onto crisp white sheets without a sound. Sniffling was accompanied with the mysterious liquid, heart wrenching sobs that broke your already damaged heart

"Vincent?" You asked, shuffling in the warm embrace to glance up at the man's face, nearly gasping aloud. Fresh tears were falling down Vincent's face, a broken expression painting his features in dark colors that screamed pain.

"All I could think of was you, your laugh, your smile, the cute things you do when you think I'm not looking, all of it" He hiccupped, burying his face into the crook of your neck, "How I would never see any of it again". At this point nurses and doctors had begun to show up, searching eyes landing on you with both relief and slight annoyance at the stunt you pulled. However, they all quickly shuffled away once assessing the situation, acting as if they were just cleaning the machines, shifty eyes proved otherwise.

"She saved me again" Vincent whispered, his once loud sobs being replaced with sniffles, the action tickling you slightly. A nearby nurse dropped her clipboard, squawking indignantly with red cheeks, excusing herself profusely as she shuffled away. Brushing away the slight distraction, you turned back to your boyfriend, eyebrows raised to their maximum height.

"Who saved you again?" You asked, grabbing him gently by the chin and wiping away the tears with the pad of your thumb. At first he simply winced, as if reliving a painful moment, arms pulling you tighter against his wounded chest.

"Lucy" Vincent muttered, watery eyes landing on your own with an intensity unlike you've ever seen, his bottom lip quivering slightly. Suddenly, everything made sense, the voice waking you out of the coma was Lucy, if it weren't for her you would have given up. Subconsciously, you laid a hand on Vincent's shoulder, staring at the wall at your side with damp eyes.

"She helped me out of the coma, what do you mean she saved you? I haven't heard from her since I was out" You questioned, hands clenching the sheets beneath your hands in a strong grip, trying to piece together what was going on.

A deep sigh broke the silence, Vincent shuffling so that you were in his lap and his back was to the wall, if it weren't for the hands soothingly running up and down your arms you would have began to panic.

"She came to me in my coma, not physically but verbally, she said that you were alive and well but that I was in critical condition and would probably never recover. That without me you would fall into depression and die soon after, she uttered six words that chilled me to the bone" he explained, voice even and soothing, just like the touches you were being given. The questioning look you gave him made him continue, looking pained by the whole ordeal.

" 'I will put you back together' is what she said, after that I woke up and the doctors claimed it was a miracle, that I was deemed dead moments before I awoke, she gave up her spirit so that I could live" Vincent finally finished, legs intertwining with your own. So that's why you haven't heard from Lucy, she coaxed you out of your coma and then invaded Vincent's subconscious to save him as well.

However, she was now forever gone, you would never see nor hear from you childhood best friend again. Tears began to stream down your face, warm arms encircling you waist as soothing words were cooed into your ear, attempting to subdue the pain of loosing the last piece of your demented childhood.

"It's okay, she's now at rest, just like the rest of the children who were stuffed" he muttered, running shaky and bandaged hands through your probably gross hair. A panic attack was rising in your gut, only being controlled by deep breathing and Vincent's soft kisses peppering your collarbone.

"I dreamt that you were dead, that you were nothing but a rotting corpse in that damn suit that nearly took you away from me, it seemed so real" You whispered, reflecting back to the awful fake reality you were shoved into during unconsciousness. Suddenly, the touches stopped along with the words, being replaced with cold hospital air and the beeping of machines.

"Was it located inside a place called Fazbear's Fright?" He asked, staring over your shoulder at a wall with the most intense glare. You nodded, casting a questioning glance over your shoulder at your boyfriend, his glare softening once landing on your expression.

Without a word Vincent began slamming his fist down on the call button beside his bed, alerting every nurse in the vicinity that he needed assistance. Before you could ask what was going on, a male nurse walked in, giving a fake smile that was contradicted with the dark shadows beneath his dull eyes.

"You called sir?" He asked, hands folding politely behind his back as weary eyes assessed if any damage was apparent. Vincent grunted a quick 'Mike Schmidt' to the boy, not clarifying yet the nurse still got the meaning, shuffling away with a nod.

"What's going on?" You began, laying a hand against Vincent's chest as he tried to get up, grunting in pain. You hadn't noticed before, but the bandages were everywhere, snaking from open skin and underneath the loose fitting hospital gown, all having a pink or red tint of growing blood.

When he didn't answer you gently grabbed his hand, causing his worried gaze to flicker back onto you, white bandages around his neck standing out against his flushed skin.

"What is going on?" You asked once again, voice hardening to inflict how dire the situation was. Just as he opened his mouth to either answer or brush it off, someone cleared their throat in the doorway, drawing the attention from your previous question.

"Someone showed up on my doorstep" they said, stepping into the room with a signature smirk that you knew all to well. You smiled wider than ever, gaze landing on your four coworkers/friends as they all stepped into the room, one holding a familiar looking ball of fur in their arms.

"I took it upon myself to give her a name, she's now called Vince, since she's stubborn just like her dad" Mike announced, placing the kitten on the floor as it gave a mewl and began teetering towards the bedside with determination. The name caused you to wince, remembering the dream inflicted by the coma where you gave the kitten that exact name in remembrance of your supposed dead boyfriend.

Pushing the thought away, you scooped up the tiny bobcat, holding it against your chest as it gave a satisfied purr.

"I hate to ruin the moment, but I have a very serious question to ask, Mike" Vincent rasped, facing his best friend with determined eyes, "What is the new establishment that boss is making". For a moment Mike was silent, seeming as if trying to remember something that happened a long time ago. Jeremy fidgeted nearby, speaking up in a small voice that was barely audible over the beeping machines.

"Fazbear's Fright, it's going to be a horror attraction" he explained, sitting beside you as he gave the kitten a pat on the head, a smile brightening his features. Vincent noticeably tensed beside you, letting out a curse at the news.

"Oh, they supposedly found an actual animatronic from the debris, they are going to use it as a prop" Fritz added, investigating the machines as he examined the wires with a nerdy fascination. You froze, thinking back to the dream you shared with Vincent.

What if it wasn't a dream, but a warning.
