❝I find that I spill my heart out to anyone who gives me the slightest bit of attention. Silly me, thinking they actually care.❞

"I LOVE YOU

"I LOVE YOU."

Those three words Dally said to me rang in my eardrum for days after. He rarely says it, so when he does, it's something to hold onto. Kingston and I were both walking in silence, watching as kids played games of football and baseball.

Kingston started laughing. "Remember when I first came to visit you and you about stabbed me with your knife?"

I giggled. "I didn't know who you were. You just pulled me into a hug."

He shrugged. "I was excited to see my sister. Can you blame me?"

A small smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. "You're a great brother, Kingston. I'm glad I have you, even though I rarely see you."

He pulled me into a side hug. "I'm leaving tomorrow, so let's go have some fun."

I grinned mischievously. "Bonding time."

KINGSTON WAS ASLEEP in his bedroom, and I couldn't find Dallas anywhere. I walked back into the living room. "Hey, Johnny. Have you see Dal?"

He glanced up from the television and shook his head. "No, I haven't seen him, but you should try Buck's."

I nodded and took a deep breath, walking towards Maya's house. I climbed up her house and into her window, opening it slightly. She furrowed her eyebrows. "Naomi? It's almost midnight."

I took a deep breath. "Can I borrow your car?"

She tossed me the keys. "Knock yourself out."

I grinned. "You're the best."

I hopped out of her window, my feet landing perfectly on the grass. I entered the car, putting the key in the ignition. It purred and I giggled at the loud noise. I hope it wakes her parents up.

I drove off, leaving a trail of smoke behind me. Buck's place was extremely full tonight and I groaned. I slammed the car door and pounded on Buck's front door. He opened it slightly and when he saw me, his eyes went wide.

"Naomi! What brings you here?"

I crossed my arms. "Let me in."

He gave me an uneasy look and it made me get butterflies. Not the good kind either. I pushed through the door, letting myself in. I know I should probably leave right now, but I couldn't. Something was pushing me towards Dallas.

Wherever he is.

I glanced around at the crowd, trying to hear a New York accent that caught my attention, but the only thing I could hear was girls shrieking and guys trying to flirt. I spotted the words WINSTON on a leather jacket and ran towards him.

I slowed down once I saw him talking to another girl. He's just talking, Naomi. That's it.

"You're one hell of a guy, Dallas." The girl giggled, making me clench my fists.

Dallas shot her one of his smirks. His old smirks that he used to do. He's turning back into old Dallas again.

I thought he was going just a little bit soft for me, but I guess I was wrong.

He leaned in and gave her a kiss on the lips. It wasn't a meaningful kiss, but it was a kiss. And that's all it took for me to run out of the bar, ignoring Buck's calls. It was enough for me to start the car and drive off, my tears blowing with the wind.

It was enough for me to walk inside, Johnny jumping up and running over to me as I collapsed on the floor, not breathing.

It was enough for my brother to run in to my aid, pulling me into his chest.

It was enough for me to put my walls back up and break down the windows Dally put up.

It was enough for me to go back to the person I once was.

Broken.

:(

you knew this was going to happen sooner or later, though. I mean, this is a DALLAS fanfiction, and I'm going to portray Dallas as he really is- broken.

it's going to take more than just a few months for Naomi and Dally to really get into a real relationship.

I want to keep building it, but there's going to be moments when they tear each other's walls down again.

it will get better, though, trust me. it's not the end. :)
