Their Encounter

They were at school when they first met. The year was 2019, her first year in college; right after her parents had been killed. Rachael wasn't focusing in class because she was very sad about loosing her parents. Her professor got annoyed on how she wasn't paying attention to him while he was teaching. He yelled her name and she snapped out of her thoughts, all eyes were on her. He had asked her to answer the question on the board, she said that she does not know the answer. He got even more annoyed and told her to get out of his class immediately or he would kick her out permanently. Rachael got up collected her things and left to go and sit in the courtyard. When Rachael sat down she started to cry on her hands thinking of everything that had happened. That is when Rhys (the polite leader) walked up to Rachael and said "why is such a beautiful girl sitting by herself and crying".Rachael looked up, with tears in her eyes; and said "because this girl is just having a very rough week".More tears started to fall down her cheeks and he kneeled down to her eye level and wiped her tears, stared into her eyes and said "would you like for someone to comfort you?". Rachael had closed her eyes to try and stop the tears. While he said that his right hand was still on her cheek, his thumb began stroking her cheek. Rachael started to relax under his touch and soon enough she was now leaning into his hand, wanting his touch. When she realized what she was doing she stopped and opened her eyes to see him smiling, they both started laughing. He got up and sat next to Rachael and she started to tell him almost everything that happened, what she didn't tell him was the name of the family she moved in with. When she finished talking they heard the bell ring and they both started to get up, Rachael thanked him and left. That was the last time they ever talked.
