"Quiet down, class," Mme Bustier said, a stern look adorning her face as she glanced around the room. "I know you all are excited but there really is no need for all this noise."

Everyone in class got a tad bit quieter and continued animatedly discussing the different letters they were writing. Since most of the class had been akumatized already, they all had their own way of thanking the heroes. All except Adrien and Marinette, that is.

"So," Adrien started, turning to Marinette who hadn't really been saying much. "What've you written so far?" He tried to break the seemingly inevitable silence between them. He knew Marinette didn't really like him much in this form, though she joked with him when he was Chat. He wondered what was so different about the two of them and why she acted so differently around them both.

"Oh, well..." Marinette said quietly, bringing Adrien back out of his thoughts. "I haven't really, um, been saved or anything," she fumbled. "I'm not sure what I should tell them."

It can't be that hard to write something to me, though,  Adrien thought, remembering when he showed up at her house only a few days ago. It must be Ladybug that's giving her trouble. I bet she doesn't know too much about us seeing the way she acted before, he concluded, recalling how calmly she had talked to Chat.

"Well, I know you haven't been akumatized like the rest of the class, but you could be grateful that Ladybug stopped all of them." He thought back to her quick thinking during their battle against Mrs. Beaker and a smile crossed his face. "She really is amazing, you know."

Marinette turned to the right, hiding her blushing face with a hand as she propped her elbow on the desk. "Oh," she said, taking a breath to calm herself a bit and looking at her notebook. "Y-you really think Ladybug is a-amazing?"

"Yeah. The way she is so fearless and helpful... It's really inspiring," he continued, not noticing how strangled Marinette's question was. "She'd never give up on any battle and always looks out for others."

"Chat Noir too," Marinette added, trying to share the embarrassing praise with her partner. "Personally, I don't think he is given enough recognition for what he does." Adrien looked to her as she continued to stare at the blank piece of notebook paper.

"Really?" Adrien asked, and Marinette looked up at him.

"Yeah, he's a really great hero, and even though most people just dismiss him or even assume he's bad luck, I think he is really cool." She smiled a little, and a light pink dusted Adrien's cheeks. "Despite the bad puns." She added, and Adrien got jokingly defensive.

"They aren't that bad." He reasoned. "I, for one, find them Mewraculous," he said proudly, which made her giggle a little.

"You're just as bad as him," she said, and he smiled brilliantly, chuckling along with her.

She immediately hid her face again and changed the subject, blushing furiously at his gorgeous smile. "Anyways, back to the letters. Do you have anything done?" she asked, not able to continue looking at him again.

"Yeah... A bit," he said, confused as to why she'd looked away. He sighed internally at the change in mood and started thinking about what he should say to Ladybug. He couldn't exactly write her a letter professing his undying love or something like that, though he wanted to. It would just be too obvious. He shrugged, figuring he'd probably just flirt with her some more during the next patrol.

"I'm thinking about writing to her about this one time that she saved Nino," he said, gesturing to the back of the room where he sat with Ivan. "You remember The Bubbler?" Marinette nodded her head. That was also Adrien's birthday, which she definitely couldn't forget.
