You head towards the second gymnasium, your face still a bit red and sweaty from practice. You push a few strands of hair out of your eyes to make yourself look as presentable as possible, only to give up when the wind keeps blowing them back to their original position.
As you approach the entrance, you can start to hear the sounds of the volleyball team shouting advice and compliments to one another. They must be doing a practice match.
Not wanting to disrupt their game, you carefully open the doors and peek your head inside. Fortunately, none of the players notice, but Kiyoko, who is sitting from the sidelines, immediately turns her head towards you. Upon seeing you, she waves and gestures for you to come in, which you do.
Placing your bag on the gym floor and taking a seat next to the manager, you watch the volleyball team play in awe. Spiking, setting, blocking - it all required so much skill.
And here I thought running was hard...
Astonished by everyone's hard work and determination, your eyes jump from one player to another, but they suddenly land on the tall middle blocker. You find that you can't stop staring at him, until you hear Kiyoko's quiet voice.
"They're amazing, aren't they?" she asks as she places her clipboard onto her lap.
"Yeah," you breathe, turning to face her.
Kiyoko pushes up her glasses before she looks at you. "If you don't mind me asking, (y/n)," she softly says, "are you here for something?"
"Hm?" you ask, a little surprised.
"Ah, sorry for sounding so rude - I didn't mean to. It's just that you usually don't come watch them practice." She taps her slender fingers on her clipboard as she clears up the misunderstanding.
You let out a small chuckle. "It's fine," you reassure with a big smile, "don't worry about it." You scratch your cheek awkwardly before continuing. "And to answer your question, I'm actually waiting for Tsukishima."
Kiyoko's gray eyes widen. "I didn't know you two were da-"
You interrupt her before she could finish, your cheeks now a soft pink. "N-No! We're not! I-I'm actually waiting for him because we're gonna be working on a project later!"
The black-haired manager just slowly nods at you before bringing her attention back to the game. You sigh as you watch a tiny smirk make its way onto her face.
Does she seriously not believe me?
---
"Hurry up, idiot, we don't have all day. I thought you were supposed to be fast, considering how you're in the track team."
"Well, sorry for not having huge legs like you, you giant freak!"
You were desperately trying to keep up with Tsukishima as the two of you walked towards the store. His colossal strides made it difficult not to fall behind, and soon enough, beads of sweat were falling from your face.
The boy sighs in annoyance as the distance between you and him gradually grows larger and larger.
Having had enough, the blonde finally decides to slow his pace, allowing you to quickly catch up. Surprisingly, Tsukishima keeps the steady pace, and even more surprisingly, he ceases the teasing remarks. As a result, the two of you end up walking together in a comforting silence for the rest of the way, your shoulder occasionally bumping into his arm.

You search through the aisles, looking for a suitable base for your gravity-powered cart. Nothing seemed to be good enough - you saw the possible flaws in all of the items.
