Hey guys! I love you all and thanks so much for so many reads, votes, and comments. So, this will be a fluffy one shot. I might end up updating a second part to my last chapter in the future though. Anyway, this one shot is mostly in Nico's point of view, but has little bits of Will's point of view. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

"Hey Neeks!" Will's very excited voice drifted through the walls of my cabin. I got up and opened my door to see a very bouncy, sunshine radiating Will Solace.
"Hey, Neeks, I know you're not into like, camp stuff, but they're having a huge kayak race over at the lake this afternoon and I need a partner. Please, Death Boy?" Words tumbled out of Will's mouth so fast, I was barely able to understand him.
"I-what? Kayak race? Why don't you come in..." I held the door open for Will, and he bounded into my cabin like an excited puppy.
"Ok, Will, slow down," He was so cute when he was excited. In a just friends way. Totally. But damn. Really cute.
"...Kayak race!" Will finished excitedly. Crap.
"Um, what?" I guess I hadn't been listening.
"Nico!" Will was starting to get frustrated.
"Right, um kayak race. And you need a partner. Which, I'm assuming, would be me," I said resignedly.
"Please?" Will looked at me with huge pleading eyes that twinkled mischievously. Well, it might be kind of fun...but what if I embarrassed myself? The whole camp would be there. My sunshine wants me to do it though.
"Will," I sighed. "I don't even know if I have a swimsuit,"
"Wear shorts and a t-shirt," Will rolled his eyes. "Or no t-shirt..." With that he winked a sparkling eye at me. Damnit. I could feel the heat creeping into my cheeks.
"Fine," I sighed. "What time is it?" It would be fun, I knew. I just didn't want Will to get too excited.
"Well...that's the thing. I didn't want you to have time to change your mind. We have twenty minutes," Will spoke sheepishly.
"Solace!" I exclaimed. He rubbed the back of his neck with one hand. It wasn't until then that I noticed he was wearing a pair of brightly coloured shorts. Swim trunks. That little-
"Sit," I told him and pointed to the couch. "I have to change," I grabbed a lightweight pair of shorts from a drawer and a thin grey t-shirt. Then I scrambled to the bathroom to get ready.

Will
Mission accomplished. I had gotten Nico to participate in camp activities, and go on a date with me. Not that it was a date. At all. But still.

Nico
Will is very pushy. But if he wasn't he would never get me to do anything, so I guess it works for him. I came out of the bathroom with butterflies in my stomach. I had no reason to be nervous. It's not like it was a date.
"Wow Nico, I don't think I've ever seen you that lacking in clothing!" Will exclaimed. Really Solace? It was a t-shirt and shorts.
"I bet you would like to see me with even less clothes on," I said to Will, who's face promptly turned tomato red. Did I really just say that? Oh gods. Will looked shocked but quickly recovered and winked at me, biting his lip. Then he started laughing. It was an amazing sound, his laugh.
"Come on, Di Angelo, let's get to the lake," Will laughed. "It looks like you need a cool down," Yes, of course my face had to be bright red. I mumbled a 'sure' and followed Will out the door.

Will
Wow. Di Angelo was making innuendos. Not that he was wrong...but still. My face still bright red and butterflies in my stomach, I led Nico to the lake where most of camp was waiting.

I honestly didn't even know that camp owned kayaks. I know, I'm obviously not very observant, as it seemed Chiron had managed to drag out every single kayak in camp. Will led me eagerly over to a neon green and blue kayak. He steadied the kayak and gestured to me.
"Here, I'll hold it so you can get in," He smiled at me. Butterflies fluttering in my stomach, I slowly climbed into the kayak. At one point I started to fall and had to grab Will's shoulder for balance. He just laughed and smiled while I blushed. Eventually I was seated safely in the kayak. Will began getting in as I looked around. It looked like Percy had been assigned to referee. A good idea, since putting him in the competition would have been unfair, but all the same, he didn't look happy with his position of referee. It may have also had to do with the fact that Annabeth was nowhere to be seen. Piper and Jason were sitting ready in a kayak laughing and splashing water at each other. I was jolted out of my thoughts when the kayak careened to the size as Will got in. He handed me a paddle and smiled ash me.
"Ready to win?" He asked. I smiled brightly back and him and his whole face lit up completely. He looked so happy. Was it because I smiled? It couldn't have been. Still, maybe I should smile more often.
"Let's go," I grinned shyly at Will.
We held our paddles ready as Chiron called, "Ready, set....go!" There was lots of splashing at kayak teams took off across the sparkling turquoise lake water, heading towards the turn around point.
"Paddle!" Will yelled. We paddled together to the turn around point, in the lead. Suddenly though, Jason appeared seemingly out of nowhere, aiming to pass us.
"Will!" I yelped. With that, Will decided it would be a good idea to stand up in the kayak. How he managed, I have no idea.
"Will!" I exclaimed. The kayak was tilting precariously towards the turquoise depths. I laughed as we got hit with spray from the lake. Suddenly, the kayak titled too much, and Will let out a startled help. I stood up to help him, which just set us off balance even more. With a shriek from Will, we went crashing into the icy lake water. I came up sputtering, kelp in my hair.
"Solace!" I exclaimed. Will was treading water a few feet away, looking very amused and very happy.
"You have kelp in your hair, Death Boy," He snorted. I splashed water at him dousing his golden hair. He squeaked and began swimming away. We were about where we could touch, pretty close to the shore now. All the other kayaks had gone to shore and the people in them stood in groups further away, taking excitedly. Will figured out the water was shallow and stood up. I pushed him in the chest and he fell over, laughing. When he came back above water, he stuck his tongue out at me.
"Let's go get dry, Solace," I suggested. He pushed me and laughed, offering me a hand up as we made our way towards shore. I took it, and we walked up into the beach together, soaking wet and smiling brightly.
