If one day you wake up

And find that you're missing me.

And your heart starts to wonder

Where on this Earth I could be.

Thinking maybe you'd come back

Into the place that we'd meet...

-The Man Who Can't Be Moved, The Script

I tried finding a way we could see each other again. But the morning after that day, I was shipped off to London earlier than what was planned. In a boarding school were communications outside are strictly controlled, I had ran out of ways I can talk to him. I didn't have his number nor his address. All I had was his first name. Six months later, I went home for Christmas break. All I could think of was the possibility of finally seeing him again. I wanted to explain my absence and perhaps we could pick up where we had left off. And I was extremely hoping that he had not found someone to replace me with. My first order of business as soon as that private plane touched down was go to Michael's bar and ask if he new anything about Luke. When I rang that buzzer and Michael opened the door, I smiled. Michael however was in shock. It was probably because I had done myself with out the dark clothes and hoodies, my hair was let down in soft curls and I was wearing a long sleeved white dress that hung in an A line just above my knee. "Woah kid! Talk about total make over." He says and leads me inside the bar.

I had no time to catch up with him and so I went straight to the point and asked him anything he knew about Luke. "Hmm? Sorry kid. I've seen the guy probably more than thrice here, but I never really got into asking him anything other than his order." My face falls. I thank Michael and get out of there. I had a back up plan however. Retracing our steps during that day and see if that does me any good. I went to the street where those performers were but I found no one. So the art studio next. Luckily it was open and Elizabeth was there. She was very happy to see me. But unfortunately, she had no idea as well. I was starting to loose hope and when I got to that restaurant, I was completely crushed. It seems, things aren't just meant to be sorted out between us today. I head home.

My phone rings and I answer it to find Michael on the other line. "Hey kid, I remembered something. The guy gave me an address." I wasted no time. I told my driver to turn the car around and head for the address Michael had given me.

It was at one of those wealthy subdivisions. We had pulled over a white gate that had IRVING carved out on the marble archway in between two pillars. Luke was rich. I should've probably figured that out when he kept pulling hundred bills from his wallet or by the platinum credit card he had, but somehow the status of both our lives was left out of the conversation. I had gone out of the car and was about to ring the intercom when a woman in her fifty's perhaps, had called out to me. She had on sweat pants and a grey hoodie. She probably came from a run. "Are you looking for someone?" She asks. "Yes, uhm. Lucas? Do you know him?" She smiles at me and does my supposed to be task when I got off the car. The gate opens and she motions for me to follow her.

I was seated on their receiving area. There was a grand piano in the right corner of the vast expanse of the room. Paintings hung in perfectly choice locations and a family portrait faces the black divan I was at. I had known that the little boy in that portrait was Luke. His eyes were a telltale sign. The woman, who I now know from the picture to be Luke's mother places a glass of orange juice in front of me along with a platter of tuna sandwiches. She sits next to me. "You look very familiar, but let's not get into that." She says. I nod at her. "Are you Tyn?" She asks me. I nod again. "He left something for you." She hands me a flash drive." I take it and look curiously at her. "Where is Luke?" She gives me a solemn look. "I'm sorry. He's gone." My brow furrows further. "Where'd he go?" I ask again. "He died four months ago. Leukemia."
