Maggie stood up quickly looking nervous. DC made his way into the doorway next to me which made me calm down a bit. I look her over, a bit skeptic.

 "I can explain," she says.

Please do.

"It's my dad. I can't take him scamming people all the time for the sake of money and this time he took it  too far. That family won't survive because of him and I'm.. I'm pissed off so I called Terra and asked if she can help me," she says. I raise an eyebrow.

"Why Terra? You guys haven't talked since sixth grade," I say. Margaret looks around guiltily before biting her lip and putting a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"I volunteer at the hospital where Alicia stays. Alicia is Terra's mom and when I found out I told her immediately and ever since that day we kept in touch," she says. Before I could say or ask anything else the front door opened, Terra holding two boxes in both hands.

"You two are back early. Where did you want this Maggie," she asks. Before Margaret could answer, Terra froze in her tracks, staring at David out of the corner of her eye. This is the first time they're officially meeting, now that I think of it. I wonder how she's going to react?

"And you are," she asks, looking him up and down. I cock my head to the side curiously. Terra is great at maintaining a poker face and only I could see through it sometimes. This time it was obvious. She liked what she saw. David stood there frozen and Terra smirked.

"A shy one, huh? I can work with that. Here," she says tossing one of the boxes in the air. Immediately David snaps out of his daze and swiftly catches the box. Terra smiles.

"Attaboy. We'll just take this to Maggie's room okay," she says. David nods before aimlessly following suit. DC and I exchange smiles before shaking our heads. Margaret looks curious but doesn't say anything.

"We'll talk about this later okay," I tell Margaret and she nods.

"Okay. How can we help, " DC asks.

An hour later we finished unpacking Margaret's stuff and we're all sitting in the living room. DC smiles through his exhaustion.

"Well done," he says. After a silent pause I turn towards Terra who was eyeing David across the room.

"Terra, I need to talk to you." She nods and we head to my room.

"So how was it," she says as soon as the door is closed. I smile.

"It was nice. I was right about DC, but that's not what I wanted to talk about. Terra you said she could move in without telling me," I say. I looked angry but I felt hurt. She sighs. I could tell what she wanted to say was important because Terra never held back on what she wanted to say, good or bad. We're both a lot stronger than we like to let on.

"Anani, she's helped me so much ya know, with my mom and I. She's taken care of her these past three years and I really owe it to her to help. And she's not bad. You KNOW she's not bad, you can feel it. Do your little spirit magic thing and check if you don't believe me.”

I glare at her and she sighs.

“She just needs a little help. If you really don't want her here I'll tell her to leave but I know you. You wouldn't have minded in a million years," she finished. I stare at her finding it very hard to be annoyed with her. Maggie won't be a bother, I'm sure. Plus we just unpacked her things and no one's in the mood to repack. I eventually roll my eyes and smile at my beautiful best friend, inside and out.

"So tell me all about your southern rendezvous with his highness," Terra says stepping closer, wiggling her eyebrows. Before I can answer, the door opens and David pops through.
