I wake up to my mom gently shaking me.

"What time is it?" I ask, sleepily.

"6:45, come on, get dressed, we're going shopping." For what? I have no idea. I roll out of the warm bed into the crisp air. I put on a high school hoodie, and putting on a pair of black athletic leggings with socks and slides. I finger comb my hair, and pin it half up, and put on a gentle amount of makeup. I walk out of the room, to find only mom awake. We leave and go downstairs. "Where do you wanna get breakfast?" She asks. I just shrug, still trying to wake up. We walk out of the hotel and down the street and into Starbucks. I order a peppermint hot chocolate, since I was cold, and a piece lemon loaf.

"Why did I have to get up so early?" I ask.

"So that the boys didn't decide that they wanted to come." She says. I just smile. We finish our breakfast, and begin to walk down to the mall.

"You going to prom?" She asks. I nod. "Good, good. When is it?" She asks.

"May 14th." I say.

"So about 5 weeks?" She asks. I nod. "Well, who are you going with?"

"As of right now, no one. But Brad's going with Cam, I helped him ask her. And JC, I think is going with Kenzie." I say.

"So you're dateless?" She smirks. I roll my eyes.

"Yeah, great way to put it." I say.

"Ask Shawn." She says. I slightly smile.

"Maybe. We'll see." I say. "He graduates this year, doesn't he?" She nods.

It's about 1:00, so we head back to hotel, so I can pack and say goodbyes. I got 4 new tops, a pair of jeans, and some new makeup. So, once we're back at the hotel I walk in my room, while mom goes to Davids room, and Shawn follows me.

"I didn't mean to make things awkward last night, if I did." He says, taking a seat on the bed.

"Nah, you didn't. I promise." I say, pulling my suitcase up on the bed. He gives a slight nod, as I begin to pack.

"Are you excited? Ya know, to be going home. Seeing your dad, your friends?" He asks.

"Yeah, kinda. I don't really wanna go back to school. But oh well. That's life I guess." I say.

"yeah, but you only have a few weeks left, and then one more year." He said, trying to help.

"Wish I was graduating this year, though." I say.

"Well, can't really help that." He laughed, making me laugh. I finish packing, and zip my suitcase. He stands up, and I pull him into a hug, his muscular arms wrapping around my body.

"I'm gonna miss you." I say into his chest.

"Well, I'm gonna miss you too. But we'll text, and Snapchat everyday. And Facetime when or if you want. Promise." I just nod, face still buried in his chest. He pulls away, and we look each other in the eye. He begins to lean in, forming knots in my stomach. I should be stopping him. Before I knew it, his lips were on mine, and surprisingly, I kissed back, lips moving in sync. He pulls away, resting his forehead on mine. "I'll really miss you." He said, quietly.

"I'll really miss you too." I whisper.

"Alise, honey. It's time to go." Mom says, knocking on the door, thankfully not opening it.

"Okay, I'll be out in a minute." I call. Shawn hugs me really tight, but gently, kissing my forehead, before we pull away. He sets my suitcase down on the floor so I don't have to.
