Chapter 8

*Alise's POV*

*2 Weeks later*

Today we are in Lexington, for our 3rd competition. Friday, we didn't place, but I am still super proud of my girls. Yesterday, we came in 3rd place, and got the spirit award. Today, we're hoping to bring it home. We came off the mat, 20 minutes ago, maybe, and I think we did really well, could have been better, but definitely good. We still have about 5 hours before the competition is over, so we dad signs Cam and I out to go get some food, and do some shopping. Last weekend, JC, Brad, Cam and I all went prom dress shopping. I found my dress, and I am in love with it. I can't wait to wear it.

We go to lunch at this little restaurant called Blue Door Smokehouse, and My Lord. Their food is to die for. Then we went to a little shopping center and bought our jewelry for prom, which is in 3 weeks. We also went and bought Brads tie to go with Cams dress, and JC's tie to go with Kenzie's dress. I went and bought my shoes, and we went to a craft store, and bought flowers, so we could make our bouquets and corsages, as well as boutonnieres.By the time we were done, there was about 2 hours left of the competition, so we went back.

We stood in line and bought competition shirts, I also got one for mom. Cam and I both bought a bow, and went to some of the booths to look around. We went up to the stands and sat with our team, until it was time for awards, and then we went to sit on the mats.

It felt like forever as the teams, one by one, was called. Finally, they got to the level 4 division. So all the level 4 division teams stood. We stood, waiting in anticipation.

"3rd place, Premier Cheer!" We all cheered for them, and went back to holding hands and waiting.

"2nd Place, Gym-Cats United!" Again, we cheered. This was it. Our Final chance to win 1st.

"And 1st place goes to..." They paused, "Spirit Elite-All Star cheer!" Oh my Gosh, we brought home the 1st Place! Cam and Liyah went and accepted the trophy. They gave out some awards to all the coaches, so that took a while.

"Our Reserve Grand Champion is.... Spirit Elite-All Star Cheer!" We all cheered, this time Tymera and I went and accepted the trophy. "And our Grand Champion is.... Lady Raiders-All Star! Great Job to all the teams who competed today!" And that was it. Our final competition of the season. We finished up and took pictures with our team, before dad signed us out and we go loaded up, to head back to TC.

I called mom about 10 minutes from home, to give her plenty of time because I knew there was a show tonight, and to let her know we made it back safely. I told her about this weekend, and she told me about the show. We both were pretty excited. I have school tomorrow, which i will be exhausted for, but that's okay, I guess. We finally get to my house, and they all crash in our guest room, lounge room, and Cam in my room. I take a shower and remove all my makeup and just stand in the shower thinking. I have school all week, but I'm flying out to LA on Thursday to surprise Shawn, ask him to prom, and spend the weekend with Mom and him until Tueaday, then I'll fly back, do school for the rest of the week, have one more week, then it's prom, then one more week and I'm out for summer. I'm so excited!

I finally get out of the shower, and crawl into bed, I notice a text from Shawn, and quickly respond, before falling fast asleep.

*Next Morning*

I wake up to my annoying alarm and get ready for school. I dress pretty lazily. I Wear Swishy gym shorts, with my Cheer Competition Shirt, a Black jacket, and my black converse, with a messy ponytail, I put on some concealer and Mascara before running downstairs to find everyone else.

"Well, good morning sleeping beauty, it's about time you join us." Brad says. I just flip him off. "That wasn't very nice was it?" He asks, i just roll my eyes.
